What do you think of checking toilet brushes? I personally can't understand wanting to see it. Most of the time they're inside a canister and not visible. Are you planning on cleaning the toilet during your stay? Just seems so silly. If I ran a B&B I probably wouldn't leave them in the bathroom, I'd keep it with the cleaning supplies in a closet or something.
Originally I was in the 'bathrooms don't need bog brushes' camp but then realised that if two people are sharing a loo and one person leaves 'evidence of use' then the other one has to look at that evidence until I clean the bathroom / shower room again the following day. Or, for that matter, some people believe in cleaning up after themselves and would be a bit irritated to have no loo brush.

So my compromise is pristine loo brushes in all loos but part of my housekeeping trolley kit is the loo brush (and container) that I use for day-to-day maintenance which gets disinfected daily. Then if guests do have something they want to clean up, there is a clean loo brush in place for their use.

--------

I've only seen a bit of yesterday's show (The Registry) so far... a week of Bob on tv is bound to be irritating but it looked a very nice place to stay, seemed good value for money and I assume that you don't get wall-to-wall Bob if you stay there so... I'd stay and the lack of beanz wouldn't even appear on my radar.

Marked down for an extra egg. Jesus wept.
There were several points on the form:
1st breakfast fine, no probs.
2nd breakfast was late
no beans
extra egg
bacon hard
rest of food very good quality
Mike not confident and did not appear to be in control

I suppose the thing with the egg is this time he got them an extra egg, but maybe next time he'll miss something off.

Me, the Mrs and the bairn have got into watching this over the past couple of months - prefer it to CDWM now.

With regards to this week - Bob is a prick,.

And the rather erotic artwork. It is some of those pieces that Alex points out at the beginning of each Hotel Inspector episode. This could be a very entertaining episode methinks.

No.

The only racist behaviour on the programme comes from the ignorant English contestants that put on hilarious 'Och aye the noo' accents when a Scots person's involved and think anything Scottish should only include tartan, bagpipes and haggis, this week being a classic example. It's pathetic.
My thoughts exactly TGW

She's going to moan about the mushrooms not being on the side now.
We probably all know someone like that; no matter what you do for them or how far you go to make/keep them happy there's always a something that isn't quite right

I caught a snippet of a repeat with them on and turned over very quickly!!

I wonder if Gordon has still got that pervy wallpaper or was it pictures? If so, what will Alex make of it?

What was that we saw in the clip for tonight's prog? Is Jules really annoyed with Bob?

Ah, you mentioned it here!

That'll teach me to reply before reading all of the posts! I must remember to record this ep.

It was wallpaper, pictures, sculptures - all sorts. The wallpaper was particularly pervy, erotic, etc. Where on earth does anyone buy that? I wonder if it was specially made?

I don't think Bob is so bad. And he runs a nice B&B. Kate is the one who's driving me mad now, nitpicking and criticising. She's let some criticism turn her into a one-woman complaint machine.

That's a fair point, about the possibility of needing the brush. Your solution is a good compromise though.

I dread to think. But might have a look on the net. Is her name really Blossom?

edit - Just found this:
Couple giving away their £1 million hotel - in a raffle

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news...illion-4291031

Yet another edit - Her name is Kathryn. He's 80 and she's 69. And we'll have no rude/dirty remarks about her age thank you.

I was genuinely confused about how she wanted that omelette. I thought she wanted the mushrooms inside, that is folded inside, but then where did she want the ham and tomatoes to go? I noticed she did get it folded in spite of whatshername saying she wouldn't do it.:
I think she wanted the omelette made with the ham and tomato cooked into it, then the omelette folded onto the plate with a side order of mushrooms. I was really surprised when she didn't comment tbh!
I serve our omelettes unfolded on a dinner plate like a pizza
We sell quite a few too, considering we don't even advertise them on the menu!

i hope when it comes to payday, he adds a quid for the extra egg
Toilet brushes........ If it's brown at the centre it's gonna be rust, unavoidable really and not the b&b crime of the century, my o/h says they're only 50p at the bargain shop though so you could have a cupboard full and change them every few weeks!
