And it was. No.33 was expensive, but the people running it were both charming - a big plus. The Italian Stallions seemed incapable of understanding that there were people who would not want to stay in a nightclub, despite the reasonable prices, and were really upset that nobody wanted to stay there again. But then perhaps when people circled "No", having complimented the breakfast and the cheap rates, and understanding that the regular clientele appreciated the "attractions", they should have put a note that their decision was no reflection on the establishment itself, merely a question of personal taste. (They probably gave the Italians more credit for common sense than was justified).
I was a little surprised that Mark, having worked in large hotels for so long, couldn't see how unpleasant the "public areas" - i.e. the car park - could be for clients arriving.
Maybe Macao doesn't place much importance on landscaping?
