And don't you realise that your comments are very discrimatory to anyone with a strong regional accent. Ye Gods! It would be absolutely dreadful if we all spoke the old BBC English. I am absolutely delighted that if we ever met, you probably would not understand a word I said. So wouldn't be able to distinguish when I was telling you what a **** you were.
No, didn't think so. |

Yes I did. I may have an accent, but I am also well educated and am a member of Mensa. So I perfectly understood the underlying snobbishness about regional accents that you obviously hold.
b). Why do you even think that I'm snobbish about regional accents? You don't know me, so are therefore badly placed to make any judgments. And, by the way, name-calling of fellow forum posters (just because you disagree with a comment - or for any other reason for that matter) is not only bad etiquette, bu against forum rules. I doubt fellow Mensa members will be too impressed with your language - or reasoning. |

There are those on here who found it difficult to understand Colin due to both his accent and his diction. End of story. |

Meg and her doormat - I mean hubby were both insufferable. She couldn't take any type of criticism, and anything negative said about her place was immediately dismissed. Awful snob of a woman. I can imagine staying in her B&B is akin to staying in a boarding house.

Tuesday
Islington Mill B&B The second visit is to the Islington Mill B&B in Salford, where hosts Joe Woodcock and Louise Spencer have a shock in store. And the menu-less vegan breakfast doesn't please all the guests. http://www.islingtonmill.com/b-b/ (major part of post snipped for relevance and to save space) "It sleeps ten: six in a dorm and four in two doubles, each with en suite with individual access." Can't wait to see them all sleeping in the dorm together. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I've looked at the website, and there is very little detail, other than what is written above.
I have to say it sounds like everything I would NEVER book, so I can't wait to see this episode. . I'm sure those that fit that demographic love it, but everyone else would be most put out! Be interesting to know what they charge for the bunk room - I couldn't find that info on the site.

You need binoculars to watch that telly on the wall, and you'll get a stiff neck looking up.
