I did initially feel sorry for Peter as he obviously was upset over the criticisms aimed at his place however he was out of order tonight and very bitter. Saying that didn't think the last place was worth £150 and didn't agree with everyone going on about his place being his home.

My thoughts precisely. If I was having a full English (I only have fresh fruit at home) I would not have enough space in my tummy to have toast as well, so would prefer not to have it so that it doesn't go to waste.

What a silly picky point he made, it is up to the owners what signs to put up or not - how could that possibly affect Pete's stay?

Disagree. The girls had no right to decide how much the room was worth based on 6 staying - 6 were NOT staying on that occasion, so they should think themselves lucky that they had the room to themselves.
By the end of the week I had grown quite fond of the 'wacky' couple, I didn't like the look of the outside of their place, although it looked ok inside. But as we have often said before on here - the hosts can make or break their reputation on FIAB and I would stay there just to meet them!
Whereas I came to dislike petty. picky Pete and would not stay at his place.

Tricky one - often there's just one person staying in a double - using one set of towels and eating one breakfast. But the producers don't want to take this in to account do they? The premise of the show is to find the best value B&B, but the 'would you stay again' instead of 'was it good value' is there to cause a bit of mayhem.

These were my thoughts exactly. OK - I am veggie and would have loved their breakfast but I did like them but the first couple was my favourite and they would have been my first choice to stay - I would have put the winners as my first - Salford second - the girls third as I thought it was a little expensive but nice and Pebbles last.

I know the poor piggies but at least they knew they were getting proper food and knew where it came from and what was in it, rather than artificial, processed crap, masquerading as food and which has god knows what in!!
Well that week didn't add up.
Peter seemed excluded from the group way before the end. Did we ever see why? It seemed like everyone else could make criticisms but not him. He said that there ought to be no smoking signs in the rooms. Well, so what? It's just an opinion. Just like he thought the Mill ought to have a breakfast menu. TBH breaklfast at the mill seemed to be a bit slapdash/haphazard. Didn't Mr Wacky say something along the lines of - breakfast is whatever we happen to have in? They didn't remember to lay the tables properly with glasses etc for juice. But that was ok.
I just don't buy that people like the first couple and the two posh birds liked the Islington Mill. It seems to me that it was more a case of feeling under some obligation to love Mr and Mrs Wacky because I don't believe for a minute they really liked their place with the location and the exterior of the accommodation looking so sh!tty. They bought into the Wackies and didn't feel that they should criticise them. Personally, I thought Mr Wacky was a right bitchy piece of work. When Peter gave his feedback on others he was gasping and huffing and puffing but any feedback Mr Wacky gave was ok!
The first couple who eventually won the comp seemed ok. Mr Wacky and the two posh birds were horrible. But Mrs Wacky was quite nice. Did anyone notice the way Hillary was gasping and putting her hands to her mouth in shock when third and fourth were read out?

Namely that John stated it was against the law to smoke in a bedroom of a B&B or Hotel as it was a public space.
Bedrooms are actually excluded from the legislation and a few Hotels and B&B's still permit smoking in bedrooms which for the purposes of the act are considered a private space.

I did think the 'public space' was wrong, but surprised that it is legal as it is also the most dangerous. How many people have died through falling asleep whilst smoking in bed? it happened to the mother of a friend of mine, who said she'd died horribly. And a relative of mine burnt the house down doing the same thing, though luckily everyone survived. So I think smoking in hotel bedrooms is the worst place to smoke. Also, the stench of tobacco lingers - not very nice for the next occupants.

No, its actually a very good price for a bunk room with breakfast, especially in an urban location. Don't forget on 4iab they have to charge their highest rate.
Any sympathy I might have had for the two women went out the window with that underpayment - unless my maths is squiffy, they paid just 62.5% of Islington Mill's tariff, whilst Peter paid them 70% of their tariff. But, of course, it will be Peter who's the bad guy.

Yes it's amazing Hotels were not burning down left right and centre when people were permitted to smoke in them, along with Pubs,Cinemas,Restaurants, Bingo Halls and numerous other premises.

Agree. Let them all do the feedback and payments as they do now, but don't let them have their feedback until just before the final programme is filmed.

Well I think the week will be spoiled by the first couple after their feedback unless they use "Rooms 3, 5, 6, and 7 have undergone an amazing transformation", from TA room 9 is not good!
The Big Green Bus looks nice but it's a 'self catering bus'? Also they won't like sharing the one toilet and shower and is the secret is that he's actually the pot wash!
