I'm a vegetarian (practically vegan) for a good reason and I would NOT eat anything that was cross-contaminated. I would be very, very cross.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he slipped up that time because he was nervous. But if he makes a habit of it then he's an idiot.
How would you know though if your vegan breakfast was cooked behind the scenes in a B&B or hotel?

I'm a meat eater but would agree with what you say. Also was suprised to hear him say that he usually cooks the vegetarian food separately, if that is case then I find it incredible he slipped up on the day his establishment was being filmed for national TV

That's what worries me!

Nope, it's not just you. The juxtaposition of the Tatler, Vogue and teeth-picking moment was, I thought, definitely a bit of spiteful editing on the part of the production team.
Thanks, Normandie, for confirming my impression: that was very naughty of the team. I have a vague feeling that the owner may be a teensy bit defensive about the price - which I do think is excessive - and so bangs on about how special her place is.

Re last night's rooms: it's not the first time in this series that perfectly acceptable (no design statements, but clean and functional) rooms with a good breakfast go for about £60 and under. Maybe the economic climate?.

I think it depends on the area and how much competition there is.

I don't think he is a strict vegetarian - isn't his missus non-veggie? So he's probably used to a bit of cross-contamination.
The point is some veggies are very hard core and would be really upset if animal products end up on their plate. It should be basic courtesy to keep vegetarians' food away from animal products.

I agree, it was a bad mistake to cook veggie food next to non-veggie food. Most veggies and vegans would be appalled. I wonder how many times he has done that before

I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt- the stress and nerves of being on TV can make you do strange things...

I suspect he'll get people checking up on his breakfasts now to check they've been cooked separately!!

I agree, in fact I don't believe for one moment that he usually cooks the food separately.

Lets just hope that bus is on strong foundations as you'd hate for some subsidence during the night!

So that's where Andy Peters lives now!

Oh so the secret is that he's just not telling the others that he's a chef.

So I wonder if they live on site or if usually they let people fend for themselves like self catering?

Just like the barge a couple of weeks ago, you cant expect strangers to share such a small space and it should be for groups only.
