I honestly didn't see that I could well have missed it as I do tend to be having my dinner when it's on.

How come for this sexist element then did Kris keep bringing up the story of the strip club?

London is full of hotels like So's and prices are competitive, so good for him if he manages to make money on his establishment. I found it very dated (and a little bit shabby) and there is no doubt that he needs to be more discreet in his topics of conversation. He probably is a great host for clients who share his tastes, but he should be able to judge which clients will not share his tastes and prefer a more low-key approach from their host. The clincher for me was the last shot, when he approached Ursula and gave her a crutch-thrust. Tacky and unacceptable. I didn't find the comments on So at all insulting. As I understood it the R Inn owner was admitting that in his younger days he had presented the brash and somewhat over-confident attitude which So presents but that he had warmed to him anyway - but of course that went straight over So's head since in his mind there is nothing wrong with his social skills. There is!

The Blackpool hotel was really classy, and the very gracious ladies who run it deserved to win.

I absolutely loved the farmhouse, even with its decor. Incredibly good value and a beautiful setting hosted by really, really, special people.

The R Inn was clean, comfortable, and the grounds were very nice. Very reasonable price and the people who run it were professional in every way. Good stuff.

I think his partner took offence with it more than him and he just went along with it.

I did think Kris and Vicky were the most competitive couple but then I would assume everybody that goes on FIAB wants to win (I felt sure Ursula and Daria would overpay Chris and Kristelle but they didn't). However I agree that from the start it appeared that Vicky took a dislike to So and I think I can say he is an extreme character and you either love him or hate him.

I think So has has a good pasting from folk on here. I wasn't a fan of his but I have to agree that there was a major personality clash between him and Kris and Vicky and without it the show would have been very dull.

God Bless you:D”

Without one of those couples the week would have been very different.

I must admit I tune out of the activities or don't even watch them. That does sound a bit naughty of So but without watching I couldn't say for sure. All I saw was So, Vicky and Kris continually mentioning the strip club anecdote.

What was clear to me was that Vicky didn't like So from the beginning and she made little effort to disguise it. I didn't notice any distaste fom the other couples. So I'm surmising it was just her who was arsey-faced. I don't think I would stay at So's place but I'm absolutely certain I wouldn't want to have dealings with her and book anything she was involved with.

Together, Vicky and Kris were the ultimate corporate couple. Business and money meant everything to them. It's just very unfortunate they don't have the people skills to cope. Also their rooms were plain and very boring. So they don't have much idea about styling a room either. What the hell was that they put Ursula in?

What a vile person he is. Like Vicky said. He can give it out but not take it. Silly little boy. His face was priceless when his money was given back. He didn't see that coming

I would only stay and Chris's place in Yorkshire. It was the most homely and that breakfast

Amazing that he said he did not care about stains on the bed covers to the couple who won but got overexcited about finding one small hair in the bed

The production company pays for all the rooms, the entertainment and the meals out.

So definitely said 'stroke it like a lady' whilst being suggestive with the pool cue. I have looked at his prices online for December, May and July and the most he charges for a twin or double is £150 a night including breakfast. One night I found was £80.
Sol said at the start of his visit to Kris's place that he was thinking of not stopping because of the 'hairs' in the bed. He intended to find any reason not to like the place.
At the end of tonight's show he said something along the lines of - I haven't won but this (the money) will pay for a good night out. The dry humping at the end was dreadful and showed his real attitude to women.

The farmer should have won, especially at the prices he charges.

Completely agree. Potentially the most humble and nicest couple ever. on 4 in a bed Sometimes a place doesn't need the latest furnishings - it had warmth, authenticity, character, great scenery, wonderful hospitality with a cracking breakfast.

It was petty and ridiculous to underpay when he only paid £2.50 for what was probably the best full English he'd ever eaten in his life.

Freshly laid eggs and homemade sausages made from prime cuts? I'd have paid 4 times that much, and then some.

So was a bit of a knobber and like an over-exuberant puppy at times but he was nowhere near as bad as Kris the pompous tool.

Some of his questions about the other owner's finances made me wince, they were so inappropriate. It was a case of pot / kettle when he called So out - oh the irony.

Farmer Chris did the same to him by underpaying for a weak coffee. If the coffee were strong would someone else have then underpayed as it was not to their liking?

Farmer Chris was robbed. It was the right top two but in the wrong order for me.

His behaviour was pretty gross and did not do himself any favours in promoting his business. Think they said he was a barrister... really? He did not come across as intelligent.

Surprised that Chris didn't win it, definitely value for money.

I wouldn't have underpaid for that either - also petty IMO.

They've sucked the joy out of this program by encouraging the contestants to find fault where they wouldn't normally bother. I'm sure it's not beyond the wit of man for someone to have made him a stronger coffee - had he have asked for one.

Oh no, much better to keep silent at the time so that you can dock marks and / or underpay later

These days, the tiniest strand of random fabric on bedding becomes 'loads of hairs' a little spot of anything on a toilet is immediately identified as urine and they're as happy as a dog with two tails to find dust on a skirting board under a bed or behind a wardrobe - I mean, who honestly gives a shit if there's dust lurking in those places?

It's embarrassing - they just make themselves look pathetic and ruin their own chances of drumming up more business.

He was for me too until he underpaid for the weak coffee so in the end it was the right order for me.

I recently stayed in a 5 star hotel in London. Didn't cost £347.90 per night! Booked ages ago at £190, and had a terrific room that knocked spots off So's dated, small rooms.

BUT, did I pull the bed about looking for a hair? No! Did I run my fingers over every surface for dust? No! Did I have a wonderful stay in luxurious surroundings? Yes!

Agreed. I loved both of them, and would stay in their place without a second thought. That sink in the bedroom was stunning. A few (off the beaten track) places I have stayed in Germany (whatever their B&Bs are called) have sinks in their rooms. Very handy when the bathroom is already occupied.

Tuesday

The second visit is to Duxford Lodge in Cambridgeshire, run by ex-phone salesman Kevin Patel. He is hoping to turn his family owned hotel into a 1940s inspired B&B.

Wednesday

The third visit of the week is to The Riverside House Hotel in Mildenhall, where experienced hosts Ged and Suzanne offer the full hotel experience to their guests.

https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_...a_England.html

Thursday

The final visit of the week is to the dog-friendly Gate Hangs High in Hook Norton, Oxfordshire. Most guests are impressed although it seems Kevin is determined to find fault.

Friday

The B&B owners gather for the last time to find out what they have been paid and to settle some scores. Caroline and Stephen are keen to hear Stacey's reasons for not wanting to return to their `home-from-home' B&B, while Kevin wants to get to the bottom of why Ged and Suzanne gave him such low marks for cleanliness.

But if you did, you have to make sure that the dirt goes over your cups and other surfaces that you use!

So in my opinion was only in it for media attention/ to spend the week having a p*ss up! (he probably got a warning from the producers not to miss another breakfast)

Right so instead of having the 4IAB x-mas party at the Big Green Bus how about Chris's place? It has a handy sink next to the bed if anyone (me! ) overindulges.
