It makes me laugh - these twits try to make out they're such sticklers for cleanliness even one stray hair will get them shrieking, and then they put their big trollies on the beds to pack and run their dirty wheels over the duvet!

If you have an allergy, whether food or feathers, why wouldn't you tell your host beforehand?
Because then you'd have one less thing to complain about and mark down for

What a bunch of idiots . no comment on the food just the damn dinner service.
The china isn't to my personal taste, but the breakfasts all looked good and sounded as though it tasted good too.

Dangerous bed it says?? was that mentioned???
No, but on the how did you sleep bit they'd mentioned the headboard. Maybe it wasn't fixed very well?

They are all hacking me right off.
Me too

I'm glad someone else has mentioned it. I cringe every single time and over 90% of them do it. Awful.

Deliberately sleeping in bedding that you knew was more likely going to set off an allergic reaction by the morning, just so that you could complain about it, is one of the most pathetic things I have ever seen on tv. It takes one strange kind of person to actually do this.

Very rude and cheeky, he came across as jealous.

Oh look she is all puffy from the feathers, how can you tell the difference ?
I wondered that too, she just made her face look more miserable than it usualy is.
Lovely dinner service. it is in fitting with the whole B&B.
I have the Old Country Roses china too, but is rarely used nowadays. I tend to agree that it is more of an 'afternoon tea' design. But really, there's no need to moan about it <rolls eyes>

I agree, the breakfasts looked lovely - had me salivating, as did the fish & chips.

Gosh those Lilly Pad women are a right pair of bitches!

She knew the bedding would set her off and discovered it during the room inspection.... Why not mention it to the host?? It's not an unusual allergy and hotels and B&Bs are prepared for requests for polyester bedding.

And as for criticising the China when she whinged about having to have her tea in bone china cups.... That was Royal Albert!!

I did, the sheets were a funny colour lilac/grey I think and just a few darker patches.

The women was making a huge fuss over NOTHING. I have had this happen to my red sheets. We bought this new powder 2 in 1, and my cleaner put too many things in the washing machine, so when the stuff was washed it didnt quite rinse properly.

We never noticed until the dry fitted went on the bed, but it was clean just the washing powder or whatever it was hadnt rinsed right.

I was screaming at my telly I cant believe how STUPID she was. The bedding wasnt dirty it would have smelt fresh. She simply had to go down and sort it out, but oh no, she had to have a drama.

More is the point did we actually see her sleeping on towels? Wouldnt they have been damp then i mean before i go out for dinner i always have a shower.

Blooming stupid. Sick of it now, its becoming a farce.

I dont mind poached eggs cooked that way, they are poached thats it lol.

For the money for the room I thought it was all exceptional i would stay there.

I SO AGREE WITH YOU about the production team, this is all set up.
Is that the Bold 2in1? Used to use that a lot, had a lovely lavender smell, but think they took it out! Do don't use it anymore.
I love poached eggs, but really enjoy them most when they have been poached in a pan of water, I don't find the need to add vinegar. I tip the egg into gently simmering water until it looks cooked - lovely, I'm off to make some now,

This. ^^^

Did they have anything nice to say? From the building looking like a former shop to the china. The china fitted in with Audrey's place and it's style. But those old miseries had to mention it and tell everyone. And if that wasn't enough they had to criticise the bowl the beans were severed in. The brekkie at Audrey's looked very yummy and very good quality.

Surely that's payback for the comments on their "slay" bed? Ditto the comments on the dust.

They're both as bad as each other - the two women convinced their craft work is marvellous, and Audrey convinced she's in the entertainment business (I'd like to know in what capacity, because I would imagine Linda Snell has had more experience in that department, but let it pass). They're all rather dour for my taste, although Lily's Pad is my preference for B & B.

What are Sharon and Gordon up to, I wonder, fawning over Audrey?

As someone has mentioned, many people go everywhere with their favourite pillow (even when they're visiting friends) so it was a bit odd that Sue, who takes her favourite cup with her, didn't have a pillow tucked in her bag as well, particularly if she's allergic to pillows. People with allergies usually take far more responsibility for their welfare than this.

They give a 5 because there was a hair on the toilet seat

Her comment about the baked bean plate 'standing out like a sore thumb'... you could not even see it as it had a paper doily on it ffs

I will be banned if I use the words I want to use, Their friends .. if they have any... need to have a word with them. Pure evil.

Also the face on them 2 when Audrey said all what she owned. Pure jealousy.

Just caught up with tonight's episode. Although not to my taste- too many nik nacks and gilded things, the place was fine. It looked very clean. The breakfasts looked very nice as well and got nice comments regarding the flavour. Dinner service I did not like though. Too floral and fussy, and I would be terrified of accidentally damaging it. Or using it the wrong way. But again, that's just personal preference.

I found Gordon rather rude in his questioning of how Audrey got her money. Although it doesn't look as if they ever got to find it out anyway.

Now as to the feather bedding and allergies- how bloody hard is it to ask for polyester bedding? But I guess moaning is more fun. And is it me, or do they sound like they are reading a bad script whenever they complain? And don't even start me on the ridiculous make up application and lamp waving.

I get a sense that Audrey really vets her guests, if you don't measure up i bet she doesnt let you stay,, and if you make a noise she kicks you out
That's how I feel as well. And don't even think of having sex in her bedrooms.

Was it the same couple? I thought the dangerous bed comments came from tomorrow night's Gordon, but I'm not 100% - could be wrong on that.

For sure, at least they'd speak to the host and see if anything could be done and that's at the very least.

But how did she acquire it?
I think she's a lady who likes to recount a tale but I did wonder if on this occasion she diversified so much simply to avoid a straightforward answer

... is it me, or do they sound like they are reading a bad script whenever they complain? And don't even start me on the ridiculous make up application and lamp waving.
It was like badly directed and badly acted provincial am dram.
There's a point somewhere in there, the same as some of Audrey's comments have a point too if you're paying for absolute perfection, but it really is getting beyond silly this series.

Gordon has come across as extremely brash, a very acquired taste humour wise and I can't take to Louise and Sue at all.
It's not a very good week at all for me.

For tomorrow's programme
Article about The Castle. It's 2 years old.
Shepherd Neame is a very prevalent Kent brewery who've been acquiring and refurbing pubs and pubs with rooms over the years.

Sue and Louise are really giving me the pip. What a joyless pair of miseries. The only time Sue shows any spark of life or enthusiasm is when she finds something to moan about. I really admire Audrey's acumen and the effort she made for her guests - she sang for them, fried fish for them and took their petty criticisms on the chin. And don't get me started on Sue and Louise's 50's housewife retro vintage must-have-my-Earl Gray-in-a-China-teacup twee kitschy hackneyed style...
