Here we go again repeats though, never mind I have the memory of a goldfish!

I thought it was when I saw the navy man so went to get dinner ready and thought I would read lots of comments - but no.

Now watching CDWM and immediately don't like any of them, especially J Clarkson look a like.

Did the same as you......unfortunately didn't see the end of tonight's episode due to a phone call.....They seem to be a odd bunch.

I meant proper reasons!
That is a proper reason. It's a niche market. Most people don't want to go away to a B&B to eat breakfast in the kitchen with a family, iron in their front room and mingle with them. That is too homely for most people who want to go away to spend time with their friends, partner etc not their hosts.

That doesn't mean that they didn't have a nice home and aren't nice people. It just means they wouldn't pay money to be a house guest!

Has anyone ever won before where nobody wanted to stay again?
I think it was a matter of taste not the fact the place was bad

The mattress in that bedroom was disgusting, and I think people forget that there's a floor under the bed that needs to be hoovered.

He built it all himself?? or did he pay others to build it for him?? rather an astonishing feat if he has done it all alone.

He must have have had some guidance - hard to believe he was a one-man band on the project.

Wonder if they went and looked at the bed after reading the comments or will they dive straight in on Friday and make themselves look foolish. I don't remember the pay day episode of this one.

I think I must have been on holiday when these couples were on - nothing is twigging with me.

Martin is a pain in the rear, how does that woman stay with him??? They look an odd couple to me. I must live in a different world as the price of his rooms PLUS breakfast are unbelievable outside London. The rooms are fabulous, but it wouldn't be what I would be looking for - the all purple room would give me the screaming abdabs.

I only vaguely remember these repeats and don't know who won, so will watch again.

ETA: The choices for breakfast look fabulous, pretty much my kind of thing, and would like to make a pig of myself, except that my stomach wouldn't let me. It's the same with all that is available within the 'cover charge' - ok for those who can eat & drink to their hearts content.

That purple room was horrible. The rooms were too expensive. The surcharge for the use of kitchen, gym/pool room, etc, was excessive. The breakfast spread was over the top.

I just need a nice clean b&b with a comfy bed and decent breakfast when spending a few nights away. Martin's place was just too much and he must cater for the very rich, although who among the very rich would use a b&b? I think that he is more reliant on selling his old junk/antiques.

I know this is a repeat so I must have been away on hols when it was first shown - I remember the last couple of weeks.

Yes. I realise the chances of it happening are astronomical, but I definitely wouldn't want to be stuck in a lift with Martin.

He would probably charge £39.50 "stuck in a lift" charge. He has to make money.

I remember reading that the Cheshire place wasn"t strictly a BB......The whole house is let to peeps with extended families and friends to rent for a weekend or however long they require it. I recall someone commenting on Tripadvisor that they'd hired the whole place for a weekend cors the family were going to a wedding and some family members had come over from the States to join em. Seeing how the place is set up, that would make sense.
