She's such a drama queen. Her face isn't puffy at all. Well no more than usual.
You can tell a feather pillow INSTANTLY, as they are soft and squishy and you can almost mould them. They dont support very well and are not good for your neck. I have used them when I lived in Germany and I ended up changing mine for polyester. Feather allergy also is very very rare. IF she had a FEATHER allergy she should have spoke to Audrey straight away. Like she said they only had to ASK and she would have changed it for polyester. The STEPFORD grannies are really getting on my nerves now. They are so game playing. IF they win I dont think i will watch again lol. |

Gosh those Lilly Pad women are a right pair of bitches!
She knew the bedding would set her off and discovered it during the room inspection.... Why not mention it to the host?? It's not an unusual allergy and hotels and B&Bs are prepared for requests for polyester bedding. And as for criticising the China when she whinged about having to have her tea in bone china cups.... That was Royal Albert!! I actually got cross with the other couple too scoring down because of the crockery....I have never seen such rubbish in my life. When Audrey was setting the breakfast table i though wow how nice it all looked. A bit of special treat, pampered, so her guest feel special. The china was in keeping with the guest house. Twee..... Honestly if she had put out old workers mugs with chiips on would they have complained. It seems ludicrous in the extreme to moan about. The rules for scoring should be was the breakfast well presented, rooms clean, etc, not the crockery ridiculous. The 4IAB production team need to stop editing everything out to make people look worse then they are. |

Is that the Bold 2in1? Used to use that a lot, had a lovely lavender smell, but think they took it out! Do don't use it anymore.
I love poached eggs, but really enjoy them most when they have been poached in a pan of water, I don't find the need to add vinegar. I tip the egg into gently simmering water until it looks cooked - lovely, I'm off to make some now, ![]() When i cooked breakfast years ago for guests we always used the old fashioned metal poacher. It put water underneath, buttered the cups and put the eggs in and they cooked lovely. People liked the shape. I suppose its all changed now, and peoples preferences. I am disabled so i dont use boiling water would end up in A&E lol.... so i have to get hubby to cook mine we use our egg cooker for ours. x |

I liked the place last night, well not my style, BUT it was clean, and well presented.
As to the T.V. comment are you serious? That T.V. was a good telly. IF it had been an old fashioned one would he have complained? The STEPFORD Grannie putting her makeup on with her friend holding a red lamp over her head well i nearly choked on my hot chocolate lol..it was PRICELESS. The room behind was virtually in the dark for effect, YET the rooms at the start were all light and airy and errrrrr have ceiling lights lol....... You couldnt make it up. (MAKE IT UP ... sorry stupid pun). Why not go into the BATHROOM and put makeup on using the mirror there? There was dust behind the toilet. I am not sure how often Audrey has guests. Someone mentioned on the facebook page she has only had 7 reviews since MARCH 2015, so not a lot really. Perhaps as she OWNS half of that village she is just a B&B hobbyist and was using this programme to boost her place....... So perhaps there was a bit of dust behind the toilet but it wasnt DIRT. IF the STEPFORD Grannie was allergic to feather pillow she would have told Audrey as you can tell a FEATHER PILLOW immediately just by touching it. It is squishy and you can mould it, thats why the GUY was complaining he had his FOLDED in half horizontally and it was still too soft for him. As to complaining about the crockery by several of the guests well what a load of old CROCK. It looked lovely to me, and I would have felt special using it. Like her guests are special and she wants them to enjoy their stay. It was ALL TWEE, so it was in keeping. NOTHING to score her down on. The remark about the spoon and dish for baked beans well lets not go there I might get chucked off lol. All in all, although i am not sure about Audrey and she has made some weird comments on feedback forms, I thought her place was very clean, well presented, and she went a long way to make her guests feel welcome and enjoy themselves. Her fish and chips looked FAB..... BUT NOTHING she did would have been good enough for the STEPFORD grannies, they just fault pick all the time. Tonights place looks lovely, so I wonder what stupidity we will have with marking down again. |

Just caught up with tonight's episode. Although not to my taste- too many nik nacks and gilded things, the place was fine. It looked very clean. The breakfasts looked very nice as well and got nice comments regarding the flavour. Dinner service I did not like though. Too floral and fussy, and I would be terrified of accidentally damaging it. Or using it the wrong way. But again, that's just personal preference.
I found Gordon rather rude in his questioning of how Audrey got her money. Although it doesn't look as if they ever got to find it out anyway. Now as to the feather bedding and allergies- how bloody hard is it to ask for polyester bedding? But I guess moaning is more fun. And is it me, or do they sound like they are reading a bad script whenever they complain? And don't even start me on the ridiculous make up application and lamp waving. |

I sincerely hope that the others have twigged the Stepford Grannies game (it sounded like it from at least the Clifton pair), and they and Audrey overpay like mad tonight to ensure that the gruesome twosome don't win!

Good grief, what was all that yesterday with the feather bedding? Anyone with allergies immediately checks the bedding and asks for replacements if necessary. It actually boggles the mind that anyone would be so stupid and vindictive as to deliberately bring on an allergic reaction in order to mark the room down. What an awful woman.

Actually just read on the FIAB fan club page on Facebook, someone said: So she takes a ceramic cup and saucer for her tea, BUT knowing she is allergice to feather pillows she doesnt bother lol..... I would if i was allergic to them. Not everyone uses polyester.

For tomorrow's programme
Article about The Castle. It's 2 years old. Shepherd Neame is a very prevalent Kent brewery who've been acquiring and refurbing pubs and pubs with rooms over the years.

If Sue and Louise really thought it was a good idea to take such miserable slapped-arse faces and poor attitude on national television by way of promoting their business they have made a huge mistake. Dreadful awful women.
Lily's Pad...? a feminine hygiene product comes to mind. What a poor name. |
