Actually sugar in scrambled eggs is actually a Hindi dish. Ando Ka Meetha.

2 Eggs
4 tbsp Sugar
1/2 tbsp Butter/Ghee
2 Cardamom, powdered
PREPERATION:

...on the drinks tray, was crystalised brown sugar, we used to use them in our Hotel for coffee, they just look cool...
I was going to say that a little bit of sugar wouldn't really be noticed with the cardamom, but jeez four whole TABLESPOONS and only to two eggs

We occasionally have crystal sugar rocks too but they tend to be pink these days.

Darren and jamaes from coach trip. Do they really own a b and b?
No, they're managers for the New Forest pub chain company.

Well your quick glance is very helpful and goes some way to explain their rather inflated opinion of themselves. I assume the expression "under the radar" is unknown to them.

Is the "voice over" guy new? Not using the plural for "pound" is driving me NUTS.
I know a lot of people do it - heaven knows why - but there's no excuse for a professional.
Voice over man is new yes and yes, precisely, or rather the other way around.

I think it's a bit much knocking off several points for dust when the only dust found was a tiny layer on the top edge of a wall-socket that you needed to move the bed to see.
The scoring gets out of hand doesn't it, but it's useful fodder for holding a grudge and ramping it all up a bit, only to find at the end that they've been paid in full

I remember the Saba Hotel. Didn't he make a great play about it being in London and in reality it was on the main road through Shepherd's Bush?
Not only did he put the couple who had trouble sleeping in the room opposite reception and by the front door, when it was busy all night, but it was on a very busy bus route and the paper thin curtains didn't even cover the window.
I'd have been fed up too if I'd been the guest, but of course, we all know it was set up like that anyway.

I thought the 4 tbsp was a typo, but on googling it seems it isn't, But Ando Ka Meetha (or Egg Halwa) is more usually eaten as a desert and one thing I do know about Asian deserts is they are often very, very sweet
Mind you I'm not sure why people are so astonished at the idea of a teaspoon of sugar in an egg dish - pancakes are just eggs and flour after all. My dad used to make us omelet with mincemeat - I wasn't keen, but my sister loved 'em

I'm pretty sure we've established in the past that the producers decide who gets which room. But if one of the rooms is in a poor position I suppose its ok to highlight that.

Omelette with mincemeat's definitely a new one on me

I've tried Asian deserts and can't get on with them because they're so very sweet.
I did google and found this recipe and it makes more sense in a cake or pud.
I don't have a problem with eggs and sugar at all, but it's scrambled eggs with toast and meant to be savoury. Mind you, my tastebuds are savoury fans and I put Bovril on the toast when I have scrambled or boiled eggs. I can't get on with bacon and maple syrup either so I'm obviously quite biased.

I get fed up with the directors of programmes building up false tensions.
In real life you'd get to stipulate that you need a quiet room if you're a light sleeper and the host or manager would try and accommodate that, not go out of their way to do the exact opposite.
If they didn't meddle so much you'd probably still get naturally occurring and more unexpected tensions anyway and I'd find that more entertaining.

.
Yes, for the evening meal he took his guests out for a fish 'n chip supper

Re the scoring - I find they look for the slightest reason to mark someone down especially on the cleaning aspect, if I found a bit of dust on a blind or a small cobweb on the ceiling in a room where everything else was spotless I'd be circling a 10 rather than an 8 or a 9. I just could not bring myself to be so petty.

I thought it was a repeat with James and partner as I remembered them off something, I actually liked them on Coach Trip, but now this reality tv wannabees,as also been mentioned B&B novices, managers, desparates in my book.
Anyway last nights oh dear grannies place or what, nearly chocked on my coffee this morning when she said interior designer whennnnnnnn year dot.
Don't know about this weeks lot I expect will end up liking none of them as usual.

If we are going to get any more Coach Trippers what about the gay couple who through a hissy fit and got chucked off the coach? It would make payment day interesting

This problem Is my qulity pleasure, normally watch on my Todd around midnight, just in case anybody catches me watching it.

Remember James and his partner from Coach Trip.

Watching Four in a bed, has altered how I see Bed and Breakfasts. I've always imagined them to be folks who have been evicted from there homes or people who maybe at the seaside like Weymouth and want a night or two stay.

Ray described hid place last night as a hotel and voiceover man said Ray's rooms are only £55 pounds,

As long as Ray's place is clean surely he wins

I liked Darren and James on Coach Trip. I know there is a crossover between Channel 4 programmes, but it's more usually been 4iaB and The Hotel Inspector. Still, I'm happy to see D and J on here - they were not nasty by any means on CT and I am pleased to see some niceness after those dreadful people last week.

And, you cheeky lot! All this talk of 'Nan's' rooms. I'm a nan (the latest grandchildren twin boys born two weeks ago) and my rooms don't look like that at all. I admit to some clutter - gathered over all these years! - but not fussiness, and no knick-knacks whatsoever.

I thought Ray reducing marks because he only liked white linen was petty. It's a matter of taste only. And his rooms look awfully gaudy.

He looks like Duncan Norvelle in that pink jacket. I expect him to say 'chase me' any minute now.

Well, theoretically people can be grandparents by as young as 30 give or take, so I don't think it's meant in a disparaging way and not for today's grandparents, it's more like what your nan would have back in the day when people bought once and it had to last. We chop and change and keep up with trends much more today.

I think he remarked on the coloured bedlinens as part of the old fashioned look. White bedlinen, towels and sanitary fittings are really the order of the day now aren't they?

Must be the area. The New Forest is a tourist destination, but in any case it won't be them setting the prices or choosing the decor/fixtures and fittings, it'll be head office.

He so does, I came on to post the exact same thing!

Also, although Ray is a bit odd, he did win the activity as he was the only person to actually make contact with the board.

Ultimately they're all a bit strange this week. No one has grabbed me as particularly likeable. It's early days though
