I don't like sausages of any sort even vegetarian ones they are always gristly, fatty things I find unappealing. At junior school (many moons ago) ours teachers loved their sausages and evey morning a tray was brought in containing large chunks of well cooked bangers but they were rather strange as the end bit was always shrivelled.

They sign rather rigid contracts prior to filming, I am wondering if they have violated some clause.

I am sure there must be a ... 'Keep your big fat gob shut on how this show is done' clause in their contract. Got a feeling it is that
![]() I recall one from years back where the 'baddy' couple had marked down a perfectly nice looking room, but the 'baddies' later claimed that some dirt and broken bits of telly had been pointed out but not shown on the telly. |

As it is but ...when stupid, obsessive people start posting negative reviews on Trip Advisor from what they've seen on a TV programme - then it all gets a bit silly doesn't it?

I don't think they said anything that has been said by disgruntled competitors before. Certainly the 'we said 99 good things and 1 bad - they only showed the bad one' has been said before.

Let's face it, for a long time a lot of us have been saying that the programme needs a thorough overhaul. I would love a heart to heart with the producer, director and crew if they came on here.
Remember The Mill or Old Mill at Borrowby, Thirsk? They had a decent looking B&B, but ended up with so much online hate they took their website down and slightly changed the name of the business. All from an appearance on FiaB where Amanda came over really badly. It was the same old thing - go first, everyone's nice and polite, see a little negative feedback and then go gunning for the competitors. Aided of course by the fact that we only get to see the worst of it. There are people in these series who I really haven't taken to, who I certainly wouldn't to stay with, but it's tough in business and particularly for the self employed in the hospitality industry. I'm quite fed up of these reality programmes who essentially select cannon fodder for cheap 'entertainment' and I don't want to see anyone's business suffer because of it. I'm not being a bleeding heart and sticking up for people who really should be a bit more savvy and who should conduct themselves in a more professional manner - how can anyone working in hospitality ever publicly utter the words 'if they don't like it, they know where the door is' (paraphrasing) - and by the same token, as much as I don't want to see people's businesses suffer, perhaps the contestants should bear that in mind too when they make their comments instead of complaining about being badly edited. Why can't we see more people like Butterfly Dave, who seriously needed to up his game, but understood that, learned from it and garnered quite a lot of affection because of his pleasant character. It's quite heart warming to think that someone who's struggling a bit can get friendly and practical advice from other professionals and benefit from it. The thing is as soon as Emma said those words I thought OMG how rude is she. They really need to engage their brains. They both agreed with each other too which was even worse. Once its said it cant be taken back. From that point, I wouldnt have stayed in their place why would I with that attitude. Also Butterfly Dave was one of my all time favorites on FIAB. |

It was probably a good attitude for an old school boozer with a no-nonsense landlady. But this is the 21st Century and customer service is king - especially if trying to run a B&B rather than a spit 'n sawdust drinking den.

The hotel needs to have their Art Deco theme taken through much better.

Did they say 45 rooms? they must have a lot of staff and not much input into bed changing/cleaning etc.
