The least they could have done to try and match establishments up was ignore the buffet and have them cook individual breakfasts to order, just like the other places.

Helen and Emma remind me of Cissie and Ada from Les Dawson's sketches.

I have a question- I was always taught that it's very bad manners to have your hat on when sat at the table, except for women as they are just accessories anyway, but that tall man seems to wear it at the table all the time? Was my etiquette teacher wrong?

It's a bit of a catch 22 by the sound of it. They're not making money, so they don't have the money to fix or upgrade on a rolling programme. It becomes harder to catch up for those big old seaside places.
Most people these days expect good water pressure in their bathroom though and updated fixtures etc., so if it's not attended to their reviews and bookings will soon begin to reflect those kind of issues.

I know what you mean.
Did you also see that they commented on the lack of tinned tomatoes today? despite refusing them when they were offered the other day. So contrary.

No but I suspect they have never been taught, let's face it they cannot even hold a knife and fork correctly.

Fresh tomatoes haven't been industrially processed unlike tinned.

I must defend the lady, cankles have nothing to do with weight you are born with them, I should know I have them even if Terri lost 20 stone she would still have em I don't think men have them though.

I actually liked the place, love Art Deco style and love dancing so this would be up my street. Also I like plain food so again I would have enjoyed the dinner. Poor Fabio I would take him under my wing and help him with his English ....

I wish Andy had tried a bit more and pretended as if he was enjoying the dancing. He reminded me of those dummies that are attached to dancers as a pretend partner, think Colin Jackson and his SCD finale debacle.

But it wasn't anything to do with what kind of tomatoes they were, it was the fact that at Beck Hall she asked them if their breakfast tomatoes were fresh or tinned. Louise said 'they're fresh, but we can do tinned for you if you'd prefer' to which Helen replied that actually she didn't want either.

Today the tomatoes on the breakfast buffet were fresh so she commented on the form that they didn't have any tinned ones out.

It's the fact the other owners can't seem to win

I love any kind of tomato except tasteless ones and underripe tinned ones in very thin juice.
The ones from Lidl are the best I've found and at a great price. They're always ripe and plump and come in an extra thick juice.
