Blimey, talk about picky.!! It wasn't mentioned but did anyone else see Donna's comment
re breakfast, on the form? .......Side plate knife facing the wrong way
Good grief no.
Previous contestants have said how they're encouraged to write on the feedback forms, but surely everyone has their own integrity and has the ability not to buy into it to that extent.

I always try to speed read the bits they don't read out, but rarely manage to see anything of any real interest. I reckon the trick, if you're savvy is to write very little and then the crew can't cherry pick.

It does sound petty but perhaps she's trained in H&C and expects people in the same business to know about theses things. I was amazed that they'd never seen that sugar before and BTW it's a nuisance as it takes ages to dissolve! There are more posh folk this week who don't know how the hold a knife!

Not sure about yesterday's hosts, the gay blokes seem ok, Ray seems weird and not fussed on the other woman and her sidekick.

I thought I was the only one who found it hard to understand Ray. All I keep picturing is Leigh Francis' Indian character Kushvinder Singh when he speaks.

Ray's place has bad reviews on Tripadvisor.
This is an odd one. I found two lots, one for restaurant but older reviews and one for hotel with new reviews.

He hasnt been there long has he? Not sure.

BORING B&B.

The rooms were small, and boring. The breakfast was nothing to write home about AGAIN, with getting it wrong even with a CHEF.

So what did the 2 lads have to actually do lol?

7 staff.. and they take 2 days off lucky them lol.

Nah I dont see how you can pitch this type of establishment with B&B privately owned and run.

Corporate should get it right surely. And the price per night no way not even in the forest not to sleep over a pub anyway.

NEXT.......

I'm not keen on Donna so far. Her sharp features seem to reflect rather a prickly manner. It'll be interesting to see her place. Ray, now, is odd! He can't be separated from his laptop apparently. I am intrigued about what there is in the room tonight that is so off-putting!

Well, theoretically people can be grandparents by as young as 30 give or take, so I don't think it's meant in a disparaging way and not for today's grandparents, it's more like what your nan would have back in the day when people bought once and it had to last. We chop and change and keep up with trends much more today.

I think he remarked on the coloured bedlinens as part of the old fashioned look. White bedlinen, towels and sanitary fittings are really the order of the day now aren't they?
Only teasing about the nan thing. I know what was meant, but I am probably a bit stuck in the past myself and don't particularly want everything white even if it is fashionable. I'll just sit it out till colour comes back in.

I thought Ray was looking for something to criticise there, and considering what we have seen so far of his place it seemed a bit much to complain about the colour of anything.

The two managers will have to do anything and everything plus their own roles should the situation require it. In general though, with 7 staff and the two of them, they must have a rota so that all staff can have their days off - including them. These two are working for a company. They receive a salary. They are not on their own running a hotel or B&B. So there is no reason why can't they have days off.

Privately owned or run by managers, any smallish B&B/hotel premises are suitable for 4IAB.

WARNING:
All forum members are advised to employ safety goggles for tomorrow's viewing.

Ray's place is already giving me worries about a migraine with his 90's 'mood' lighting.

And joking apart, what on earth are they all thinking hacking chunks of ice and it flying everywhere like that? they really should be wearing safety goggles.

He's an odd one.

It would probably tell him in the room information that free wi fi is available in the bar and or other public rooms. Not everywhere provides it in guest bedrooms.
Safety goggles make my glasses steam up. But then that would save me from seeing the dreadful decor.

I predict tonight's place is going to be a disaster. The picky ones like Ray always end up on their arse.

I'm actually excited about tonight's place. Even though I know some of it will be set up, there's still nothing as gleeful as watching other people's disaster unfold before my very eyes

The way the doors are painted it looks like there was a dirty protest in the rooms.

Ironic, isn't it? When he has been complaining about the room sizes all week.
