For the same reason Nicole Kidman is advertising some vitamins and Willem Defoe does BT- a cheque is a cheque. And Jeff does have a new baby friend to feed.

I was not enamoured by tonight's place. Very dated, not in a good way and the bathroom accessories made me cringe.

When did frozen hash browns become part of a 'Cornish' breakfast?

Hash is very popular in Cornwall.

I really liked how tonight's hosts took the feedback. Not getting upset and cross over a 9

One of my pet hates, when different places call a basic full English breakfast by whatever area they actually are, if you know what I mean, I' m Welsh here they call it a full Welsh breakfast when it's exactly he same as an Englush. you wouldn't serve a Danish pastry in Somerset and call it a Somerset pastry or Brussels sprout in Scotland and call them Scottish sprouts!

I bet the chap who asked for goats milk hoped they wouldn't be able to provide it

BIB. Did they put goats milk in the fridge in the apartments? Thought not!

It's gone so beyond ridiculous and "made for television" now, I'm over watching it.

I stopped watching CDWM, now FIAB joins it and that's a whole hour I've gained x 5 days per week.

Might have been too harsh on Katherine and Trevor yesterday they seemed ok at their own place however I didn't like the dated decor and I'm still wondering what on earth is Trevor's purpose in this B&B apart from milking goats.

I don't think so. I'm always on alert with people who bang on about how "their" part of the country/world is the best. I was born in Hampshire, raised in Surrey and lived in London and Norfolk. Nobody I ever heard in those places presumed to rubbish everyone who didn't come from those places as Katherine did by saying that people didn't know what hospitality was unless they had experienced Cornish hospitality. It's just plain weird - and insulting!

Considering the song and dance Katherine made about having to make her own breakfast (as if she'd never heard of such a thing) she shouldn't have been surprised at the criticism about not having a menu her guests could look at in order to make their choice - but she was.

Not a place I would feel comfortable visiting. Like staying with a slightly disapproving aunt!

They seemed pleased with a six! Presumably not watched the programme before
I expect the last two places will be dashing out for goats milk now. Very churlish of Mr. Glastonbury to moan about time taken to get his milk after someone had actually gone out for him!
I'm not sure I'd expect to see a menu in a simple b&b like tonights - you can just ask or wait to be told what the options are.

Have to say that whenever I've been in Cornwall the pastie merchants are very keen to point out that a true Cornish pastie is crimped on the side, not the top!

Why is it called a full English breakfast?

When our chickens lay their first egg is is usually small and sometime misshaped. I have never seen any evidence of blood on them. Having never actually witnessed it I haven’t seen if they seem to be in pain but I haven’t heard any distressed squawking but the occasional surprised cluck.

I thought that. Let's face it anything above a 5 is better than average so it does get my goat when people get upset over perfectly reasonable scores.

I thought today's place was decent enough for the money.

And the 6s. They both seemed to be ok with it all but she did speak about 'my regulars' which makes me think that actually she has a nice core business and her guests are well suited to what she provides, which means she can be relaxed.

Definitely thought the request for goat's milk made Trevor look a complete idiot.
It's not The Savoy you know, with anything on a whim available at the click of your fingers. At a B&B you'd either request in advance or take your own special items and you certainly wouldn't complain about delays (when being filmed as well) because of your off regular menu item.

Trevor seems to be a personal partner but not a business partner? although he does do odd jobs around the place. I suspect they're close companions and he has useful skills?
Anyway, I thought today was a nice place. It wasn't particularly chic but she seems to know her market well and provide amply for what it needs, so as long as you were warm, comfortable and well catered for, then you get what you pay for.

I thought last night's place was ok too, much smarter in the decor and if you were booking they'd take account of any requests too.

Bit of a storm in the teacup so far, the critiques.

Forgot to say, I don't mind full Welsh/Scottish or Irish breakfast as opposed to English, but more regional is taking it a step too far for me really.

When I stayed in St Ives the 'full breakfast' came with the local version of white pudding rather than black pudding. In the lakes its cumberland sausage, in Scotland it came with those square slices of sausagemeat (lorne sausages?) and haggis. In Ireland again it came with white pudding not black. So I think there are regional variations. I think some places in Wales serve up laver bread but I've not actually had that in my full Welsh so far.

Because it's cooked in England, is full of odd food combinations and leaves you feeling full?
