Big mistake you mention you accept dogs because they will make a point of finding a dog hair even where no dogs have been.
Weren't they just fibres from a cleaning cloth on the mirror?

Would spice the show up a bit that's for sure. I can see Catherine using the fighting nickname The Devon Claw.

Reading tonight's comments agree with everybody. Prices for rooms nice as they were, far too high. Catherine's bedding was rank, how could that have been missed? On a side note Catherine does love her florals and somebody please ask what channel Shannon is picking up on her satellite dish earrings?

Catherine would drive me insane not only with her mogadon voice but the fact she always finds fault with everything!

I did initially like the boys but they showed themselves as prats after their forensic investigations. Ben and Sian seem ok but their writing in the dusty drawer was not required they weren't surprised by the boys getting them back. Too much tit fer tat.

Exactly, they didnt seem very clued up. I have a rough collie, he doesn't go upstairs as he doesnt like those stairs, however his hair gets up there all the time, on the carpets and rugs. They were a bit silly to think hair wouldnt be on other rugs as the dogs will be in the common areas.

Also couldnt believe the sheets. If I were to go on this show, I would make sure the sheets and protectors were fresh and never before used, its not just for the people, bt also it being on tv, it could ruin your business!
Exactly what my wife said. Even if they had to buy new beds, the cost would surely out way how much financially it will hit them now after seeing the state of there bedding.
At £140 a night it would have to be something special anyway but after seeing that I wouldn't go near the place.

Yeah, I really dont get it myself. They were not worthy of a b and b, let alone such an expensive one. I know people are saying about the boys, but their protector was yellow stained too and there were dog hairs on the rug.

I would never spend that money on a bandb, but when you go past £100, I think you need some extras and something special, which this just wasn't.

AH! so they ARE allowed to ask for replacement pillows and duvets
It's the inconsistency of 4iaB, sometimes they are and sometimes...well, who knows.

I think once its stained and you cant get it out, then it needs to be replaced for how much they are charging for the room imo
At any price unless rock bottom hostel accommodation to be fair.

Reading the TA reviews they seem to employ young inexperienced staff. I guess they didn't check the rooms before the visit.
I don't have a problem with that, but above all they should check on them if that's the case and secondly, staff training!
I don't care how young and inexperienced staff are, they can be given a specification of what the job entails and what expectations and standards are.

Depends if you want well cooked or burnt!
Those sausages look awful, they hadn't been well cooked they had cremation stripes.
Very silly to serve them like that and also the overcooked fried egg. If you can see it's overcooked, don't serve it!

Oh the irony from the dusty boys...(
Sweet irony - the biter was bit.
So lax to turn into people who live in a glass house.

...I hope they don't underpay everyone and make me look like an idiot now.
That's when we find out who the game players are, if any. So often the edit makes a fool of us and our opinions based on what we see.

I've just been looking at the sample menu on the Fritton Arms website and it lists "deserts" http://www.frittonarms.co.uk/sample-menus/ Very unprofessional.
How ironic! Another glass of chablis darling?!
Again, ironic that the biter was bitten. Oh dear.

It was hard to tell.
I think the point was, whatever it was made of, it shouldn't have been there.

I was very disappointed in the standards today and if it'd been my place, with managers in, I'd have carried out my own inspection beforehand. I would not have been happy with housekeeping, at. all.

Today's managers don't seem to have grasped the difference between a nice, relaxed atmosphere and being too lax and putting style over substance. They need to up their game on the basics.

Hope you have a good evening ew.

But for that matter guests could bring in hairs from home - I'm sure I carry a few cat hairs to wherever I visit. Anyway, was it established that dogs were allowed in the communal areas or just the rooms?

The stains were a rookie error - I can only imagine they hadn't watched the show before as its 4iab 101 to strip the bed down.

As I've mentioned, Fritton Arms is just down the road from me. Having seen it tonight, I would not recommend it to anyone, and I do sometimes get asked if I know of anywhere good to stay in our neck of the woods. £140 is far too much for this area, and - sin of sins - they are charging an exorbitant sum and no wardrobe!!!!! Unforgiveable in such large rooms.

Well the dogs would have to go through the front of house and then the stairways to get into the rooms. They do not magically turn up in the rooms.

Oh dear - this couple have relied too heavily on the staff. Stained linen and putting the boys in a room where they hadn't checked for dust in the drawers! Lovely as it is I would be hard-pressed to pay £140 for a room anywhere. The Glastonbury place would probably be my favourite - but I couldn't take my dog, so ...

Its not obvious - I bet several diners a day ask the same question!

It would put me right off - plus if they're so dickish with something as simple as the price, you just know they will server bread in an old cloth cap and your beef bouginon will come on an old coal shovel...
