Even worse when it's managers who are salaried.

Had to laugh at Catherine's comment about how they underpaid everyone so it showed 'consistency'
She came very close to winning. It was the other Trevor wanting goat's milk without any warning that probably threw the kitchen into a bit of disarray, well and the fact that she prefers to over cook everything to her own taste. It really isn't acceptable to request something like that once you're sat at the table though.

So, Sian and Ben paid everyone and a bit more for Bove Town House. Catherine and Dave underpaid everyone - significantly in some cases and Shannon and Trevor only deducted a fiver, withheld from Treberthen for the breakfast issues.

All in all I'd think The Fritton Arms need to reassess their pricing somewhat and also up their game in the management and supervision issues, particularly with regard to housekeeping.

When I read your comment I winced at the spiteful judgement, but when they underpaid by £40 Ouch!
How much would I have underpaid if I had the same kind of issues? maybe £20 based on their price point (in terms of this programme I mean)

Vengeful, cheats won again.

They were found wanting. They must have retribution. So they go all out to find dust and faults. Then they underpay by a big chunk. Despite what anyone here thinks about the prices, the other people on the prog more or less paid up. To some extent it's part of the game. It's what people get judged on.

The big underpayers with no good cause are shown up. Again. Thick pillocks.

I wasn't too keen on the pretentious bloke from the estate hotel but at least he wasn't a cheat.

I only caught the last 10 mins and yes a shallow win again. I would not stay at that place because of all the hidden dust. I do wonder what it's like under the beds!

This show is becomming pointless as most of the 'winning' B&B's have won through nit picking and underpaying with no real excuse

I loved how the men were saying the lady game played by underpaying everyone while underpaying everyone themselves.

Agree, but I'd rather that Fritton Arms won. They were nice, compared to the rest. Dirty rooms are easy to fix, dirty personalities are another thing entirely.

He said his mum would be proud. I think she would be ashamed of his underhanded game playing to win at all costs.

Not a surprise tonight's result, none of the couples were particularly likeable but I could cope with Steves friend can't remember his name.

I think The Fritton Arms shot themselves in the foot with their writing in the dust as it obviously touched a nerve with the boys and as a direct result the lads had a go back about the cleanliness of The Fitton Arms. sometimes we do things without thinking then regret it later. Saying that The Fitton Arms was well over priced and on reading their menus pretentious to a T.

I suspect that the drawer frames are particularly dusty because of the proximity of the road and the amount of dust that will be in the air from constant passing traffic. The insides of the drawers themselves weren't dusty, were they? Apart from Catherine's ishoos with a few water marks on the shower enclosure, did anyone else complain about cleanliness at Sugar Beat? If not, the most important part of their housekeeping routines are up to scratch. I wouldn't stay there though - didn't appeal at all but that's mainly because of the busy road.

I didn't think anyone covered themselves in glory this week. The Fritton Arms couple ultimately irritated me a lot. Anyone who can make such a fuss over the dust in the drawer frames and then not have the nous to phone home to demand that all their own furniture be deep-cleaned immediately is a fool. And the amount of stained bed linen and pillows was horrifying. An astounding level of complacency considering the scrutiny that they knew the rooms would be subjected to. Pillocks. Nice people but they have a lot to learn...

Still, with all the criticisms this week and the number of full payments tonight, it does prove that the production team do not insist that if you find faults you cannot pay full price.

I'm going to do the tape test on some of our rugs tomorrow...

Still no excuse not to dust the whole draw inside, outside and under the drawers. They got shown up and didn't like it. As for their childish pay back. Idiots!

I'd be tempted to pay them with Monopoly money as they haven't stipulated which currency the numbers relate to Isn't it funny how the 'trendy' idiots always copy the most stupid of ideas?

Best ones won and came last so win-win for me this week

Pay back? Too bloody right and I'd have done the same.

Anyone who had my drawers out for an inspection should expect me to repay the favour. What was childish was the people who started it.

What normal person removes drawers to look for dust? Checking the bedding is fair enough but that's just being pettily ridiculous IMO

I wouldn't want to cook my own breakfast in a B&B so for me, the boys place was the only one that appealed to me. I'm a Londoner too so traffic noise doesn't bother me one bit.

So you don't think bringing a pair of latex gloves and wrapping sellotape around them to check for dust isn't childish and petty? They have made themselves look like complete tools which will probably have a knock on effect on their business now.

I love the theatre and go as often as I can. I am in London soon and have booked tickets for Sunny Afternoon. I love The Kinks music, and have a CD permanently in the car. I have a confession to make. When I was in my teens I was a member of The Kinks fan club.

Has anyone seen the show?”

I've seen it & really enjoyed it. It had an easy to follow storyline & great music, enjoy!

People take the criticism very personally and they feel deeply hurt, even if they deny it. That's why they react they way they do. They seem to miss the point that no matter what, they are representing their business and their actions (or reactions) reflect on them. I wonder if they are ever horrified when they watch the show, but most seem to want to blame others for 'making them look bad.'

It's human nature to take things personally. Especially if you've worked hard to build up your business and reputation. But they shot themselves in the foot with their actions and underhand behaviour.

I'm not sure I would stay at any of this weeks four places.

I wouldn't choose to self cater anymore - did it when my kids were little, now they're grown ups, I want someone else to cook my breakfast, not cook my own like I do at home.

I didn't like Catherine's place, too dated and she has a rubbish attitude to cooking, what with everything having to be how she likes it cooked.

The Sugarbeat is on a main road yet doesn't took to be near anything else. I want a peaceful stay yet within a short walk to a couple of bars & restaurants, I prefer not to have only their restaurant to eat at. I could be wrong of course, I've not looked any of the places up but I'm not keen on being the captive audience.

The Fritton Arms is overpriced and again, looks to be a bit isolated and a bit pretentious. I like to eat in nice restaurants but not the sort that tries to be clever with prices, that doesn't impress me.

I suppose, if push came to shove, I'd stay at The Sugarbeat if I could get a room at the back of the property where it is likely to be quieter.

I think the most pleasant couple were Shannon & Trevor, apart from his goats milk request, that was a bit rude to ask so late for it, but fair do's they accommodated his request, although if Catherine had been operating solo, I wonder what she would have done.

Catherine was quite unpleasant in my view, sly and a bit smug although she kept a clean B&B.

The pair running the Fritton Arms weren't awful but how hard did he find it to applaud the guys who won? His face was a picture 😀

I thought it was well funny It wouldn't put me off going to theirs at all.

I wouldn't go anywhere near the gaff of the first pair of numpties who did it though and I'd never stay in any 'pet friendly' establishment anyway.

I thought so too. Goat's milk isn't something people routinely keep a carton of on the off chance is it really?

I liked them too but noticed that they didn't want to take the feedback re their breakfast offering on board which I found strange.

IDK why on earth they wouldn't think of sticking a packet of bacon and some eggs in the self-catering fridges - seemed a really obvious thing to do to me.

I bet more punters would prefer bacon to smoked salmon.
