Just thought I'd mention, I absolutely hated the way Kathryn said the word "breakfast". For some reason, and I don't know why, it really irritated me.

Me too. It was the way she emphasised the t at the end that annoyed me.

I've seen it & really enjoyed it. It had an easy to follow storyline & great music, enjoy!
Thanks for that. I'm really looking forward to it.

Totally off topic, but as people in here have been talking about theatre ...............

I love the theatre and go as often as I can. I am in London soon and have booked tickets for Sunny Afternoon. I love The Kinks music, and have a CD permanently in the car. I have a confession to make. When I was in my teens I was a member of The Kinks fan club.

Has anyone seen the show?
Please excuse me for being late but I'm also a big fan of The Kinks. I've not seen 'Sunny Afternoon' yet but l'll try to get along to see it.

I was also in the fan club and, being a member, l had the opportunity to go and watch the filming of the video of 'Come Dancing' at Ilford Palias and, to my surprise, ended up as an extra in the finished article!

I'd be tempted to pay them with Monopoly money as they haven't stipulated which currency the numbers relate to Isn't it funny how the 'trendy' idiots always copy the most stupid of ideas?

Best ones won and came last so win-win for me this week
It's in common practice in Australia and New Zealand, and I really don't see it as pretentious. I wouldn't have thought it necessary to stipulate a currency; if you're ordering eggs Benedict off a menu in a B&B in Norfolk, it's fair to assume you'll be paying in pounds sterling. Likewise, if you see chocolate cake on a menu with a number 6 alongside it, it's most likely to be the price not its calorie content.

I thought it was well funny It wouldn't put me off going to theirs at all.

I wouldn't go anywhere near the gaff of the first pair of numpties who did it though and I'd never stay in any 'pet friendly' establishment anyway.
Dogs are lovely! Although I'd never stay anywhere where people took their pet snakes or komodo dragons!

Catherine is just a miserable cow.
She's a small town woman with a small town mind. Royston Vasey springs to mind!

It's moving from the Mernier to the Savoy due to demand from 9th April to 2nd July 2016.
And I'll try and be there!

Only one this trip to London, but we are not there long!! If you only knew how often we go to the theatre! Our local theatre is brilliant, and we go at least 8 times a year, for musicals, plays etc. Often pre London opening shows. Every time we go to London (several times a year) we go at least once. So we have seen many of the shows on at the moment. This is the person who has seen Mamma Mia 5 times, 4 times in various theatres in London, and once on Broadway. Blood Brothers 4 times; twice in London, and twice (2 years apart) at our regional theatre. The Ladykillers in London and locally. Etc., etc. I just LOVE it. The theatre is magical to me. I may be in my sixties, but inside there is still a child who loves the sparkle and atmosphere.
I adore it too. Hence the multiple shows in one visit! Where I live, there is a small local theatre but have to go to cities nearby for a big show. You live far nearer to London than me. I only visit a couple of times each year!

I saw your comments re The Kinks fan club. I was in The Monkees' fan club, Slade's fan club and then David Cassidy's fan club!

No need to feel stupid. It is a huge pretention that is creeping in all over the place. I first came across it in London 3/4 years ago, on a specials board, and had to ask what the numbers meant. I think it is ridicuous, and it can easily put me off a place before I have even seen what the food looks like, let alone have tasted it!

OK Lucy. Tutorial coming up. As you read the posts, for any you want to answer, hit the box to the right of quote, the one with a black square bubble with a + in it. Nothing will happen at this stage. Keep going through the posts repeating the above for any you want to comment on. When you are done, hit the "add reply" button at the bottom of the final page. All the posts you have selected will come up in the message box. You can then put your cursor after each one you want to reply to and add your comment. When you have done, hit submit reply, and it will appear as a post in the way this one of mine has.
So easy and to think i taught Microsoft word to an A level lol.... my brain is useless now, thanks you will wish you hadnt done that now, muuuhhhaaaawwwaaaaa.... you have realised the LOLLING, multi quote in me ..... TOMMO. x

Great thanks. The jury's still out for me re Sheridan Smith. Not sure she has the chops to pull off those big numbers.

Vengeful, cheats won again.

They were found wanting. They must have retribution. So they go all out to find dust and faults. Then they underpay by a big chunk. Despite what anyone here thinks about the prices, the other people on the prog more or less paid up. To some extent it's part of the game. It's what people get judged on.

The big underpayers with no good cause are shown up. Again. Thick pillocks.

I wasn't too keen on the pretentious bloke from the estate hotel but at least he wasn't a cheat.
what made me mad is on camera the guys from Sugar Beat at the end of the programme had the cheek to say Katherine had a GAME PLAN.

I think the winners for me were Fritton Arms and Bove House.

Both of these people were very fair even when they scored lower.

Fritton Arms paid IN FULL and one OVER PAYMENT.
Bove House only paid one low payment of 5.00 to do with the breakfast

SugarBeat underpaid everyone
Treberthen underpaid everyone

So who are the game players?

The underpayment of 40.00 for Fritton house was ridiculous. What did we see exactly? The idiot on the floor with a some sellotape, shock horror he finds a few fibres. They found a tiny bit of dust in the bottom of the drawers.
The mattress protector had a few stains on them, hardly urine sweat more like. My husband sweats bad and the cover always has a few stains, i dont wash it everytime the bedding is changed weekly. I dont have the time to get it dry.

So 40.00 for a bit of dust and a few fibres......

Fritton house found THICK DUST and other small issues at Sugar Beat and what did they DEDUCT ..... NOTHING.

As to Kathrines payments.

She pays 20.00 less at Bove house because of a clock. Are you serious. I mean really take the bloody battery out women and funny how Trevor was staying in the other room and never heard it? I dont believe she could still hear it in the bathroom with the door shut. I dont think she should have taken such an amount off it was unfair.

She under paid EVERYONE, by 40.00 overall.

So who was game playing..............................

Not fritton, and not Bove House.

If Fritton Arms was so bad how come Bove house paid in full, and really even Kathrine only took off 15.00 for the pillow and duvet and never said the room was too expensive. I believe Norfolk is expensive for that type of place so not overly expensive overall for double room, with B&B.

Its a DEATH KNELL when anyone mentions they allow dogs.

All in all I'd think The Fritton Arms need to reassess their pricing somewhat and also up their game in the management and supervision issues, particularly with regard to housekeeping.
Agree, but I'd rather that Fritton Arms won. They were nice, compared to the rest. Dirty rooms are easy to fix, dirty personalities are another thing entirely.[/quote]

What a brilliant post. I thought the boys at Sugar Beat were two faced and spiteful.

I agree.

I dont see anything wrong with their menu and the prices perhaps i am missing something? Its easier and quicker to type 91/2 then £9.50 lol..... they are only sample menus anyway. I design web sites, and have seen other menus written the same. I dont think its pretentious at all. It might well be that his Lordship is the one who decides how the menus are put on the web site and have nothing to do with the Managers.

I just think its something and nothing its obvious its the cost of the meals...not some weird number like for Chinese food takeaway lol....

There's just been a repeat on TV, of a week from 2012. They were hair hunting then too.
What particularly got me is that the final place, which was very expensive (£150-£180) was underpaid £40 by the pair who won.. One couple paid in full and a single guy underpaid by £10, which I think was probably fair because the £150 rate, was, I think, the double price.

The couple who underpaid said it was wonderful, they couldn't fault anything at all; they thought it was 'probably worth the asking price' but that it was a lot of money for them and they couldn't bring themselves to pay it

I can't seem to find the right Facebook page, I always have problems with it, but looking at the Sugar Beat's page it lists Stevie as Manager and General Manager, not owner.

Or food miles. I have seen a restaurant that prides itself on using as much local produce as it possibly can, put the number of miles the main ingredient in a dish has come from.
