Just thought I'd mention, I absolutely hated the way Kathryn said the word "breakfast". For some reason, and I don't know why, it really irritated me.

Please excuse me for being late but I'm also a big fan of The Kinks. I've not seen 'Sunny Afternoon' yet but l'll try to get along to see it.
I was also in the fan club and, being a member, l had the opportunity to go and watch the filming of the video of 'Come Dancing' at Ilford Palias and, to my surprise, ended up as an extra in the finished article!

It's in common practice in Australia and New Zealand, and I really don't see it as pretentious. I wouldn't have thought it necessary to stipulate a currency; if you're ordering eggs Benedict off a menu in a B&B in Norfolk, it's fair to assume you'll be paying in pounds sterling. Likewise, if you see chocolate cake on a menu with a number 6 alongside it, it's most likely to be the price not its calorie content.

I adore it too. Hence the multiple shows in one visit! Where I live, there is a small local theatre but have to go to cities nearby for a big show. You live far nearer to London than me. I only visit a couple of times each year!
I saw your comments re The Kinks fan club. I was in The Monkees' fan club, Slade's fan club and then David Cassidy's fan club!

what made me mad is on camera the guys from Sugar Beat at the end of the programme had the cheek to say Katherine had a GAME PLAN.
I think the winners for me were Fritton Arms and Bove House.
Both of these people were very fair even when they scored lower.
Fritton Arms paid IN FULL and one OVER PAYMENT.
Bove House only paid one low payment of 5.00 to do with the breakfast

So who are the game players?
The underpayment of 40.00 for Fritton house was ridiculous. What did we see exactly? The idiot on the floor with a some sellotape, shock horror he finds a few fibres. They found a tiny bit of dust in the bottom of the drawers.
The mattress protector had a few stains on them, hardly urine sweat more like. My husband sweats bad and the cover always has a few stains, i dont wash it everytime the bedding is changed weekly. I dont have the time to get it dry.
So 40.00 for a bit of dust and a few fibres......
Fritton house found THICK DUST and other small issues at Sugar Beat and what did they DEDUCT ..... NOTHING.
As to Kathrines payments.
She pays 20.00 less at Bove house because of a clock. Are you serious. I mean really take the bloody battery out women and funny how Trevor was staying in the other room and never heard it? I dont believe she could still hear it in the bathroom with the door shut. I dont think she should have taken such an amount off it was unfair.
She under paid EVERYONE, by 40.00 overall.

If Fritton Arms was so bad how come Bove house paid in full, and really even Kathrine only took off 15.00 for the pillow and duvet and never said the room was too expensive. I believe Norfolk is expensive for that type of place so not overly expensive overall for double room, with B&B.

I dont see anything wrong with their menu and the prices perhaps i am missing something? Its easier and quicker to type 91/2 then £9.50 lol..... they are only sample menus anyway. I design web sites, and have seen other menus written the same. I dont think its pretentious at all. It might well be that his Lordship is the one who decides how the menus are put on the web site and have nothing to do with the Managers.
I just think its something and nothing its obvious its the cost of the meals...not some weird number like for Chinese food takeaway lol....

Or food miles. I have seen a restaurant that prides itself on using as much local produce as it possibly can, put the number of miles the main ingredient in a dish has come from.
