Also fajitas! With guacamole, salsa, soured cream and grated cheese

Have you seen any glorious rainbows today? It's a day of sun and rain, I've seen two!
ChoccyCarole

no - I can't see any sky from where I have been sitting for a while
Saw the bright sunshine for half an hour just before - no rain here yet

Were you given any perfumes over the festive season ??
or did you give anyone any perfume as a gift ?
twassington

No to both questions, I did get some nice smellies for bathing with but no actual perfumes.

Just as well as I have about five bottles of it on the go! What is your favourite scent?

My long standing Permanent Fave ever since 1999 - is Gucci Rush - I have just bought yet another 75ml last week -
Since 1999 - I have always had a **Constant** supply
I have worn it pretty much every single day since then

I have also liked so many others before and since **My Gucci passion** began
I have loved Several of Jo Malone's - For about 7 or 8 years now
One of them is Right up there -- as my recent 2nd fave
I sometimes wear the tiniest dab of my Chanel No/ 5 [ any more than a weeny dab is too much ]
Not long Before Gucci >>>>> I loved Dior's Dune - LouLou -&- Anaise Anaise - and many many others including some from Avon
Years ago it was Opium & Je Reviens - and some Coty Ones

Since last year I began wearing a bit of my (((((( ♥ Charlie ♥ ))))) almost every day

What are your faves ?

I love Aromatics Elixir by Clinique and L'Occitane Neroli & Orchide.

People always ask me what the scent is when I wear Aromatics Elixir...you only need a tiny dab and boy can you smell it.

If someone walks past you and you practically gag on the strength of their scent, either perfume or men's cologne, does that put you off? Less is more methinks

I agree but from my experience of being on the tube I would suggest some people need to use deodorant more often

Were you disappointed that today wasn't a Bank Holiday??
twassington

Not really....how could it have been?

Indeed you get some very smelly individuals on public transport....especially in the Summer months

It's very cold though

Do you have the heating on??
twassington
04-01-2016
I've just lit the fire....been without heat all day though.

If you wear enough clothes and keep moving you don't notice it much

What is your favourite smell?

What is your favourite smell?”

The smell of fresh, new roses. Sends my head into a spin every time.

What is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen?

My newborn son. Despite the forceps marks on his rather elongated head

Have you ever eaten snails [escargots] ?

Never. I have a motto - "If the French eat it, I don't". Although, in fairness, just last year I developed a special fondness for Brie and Camembert. I was very late to the cheese party.

Dream holiday destination?

Torn between Iceland and the Maldives! Very different holidays but I would love to visit either.

What's the longest flight you've ever been on?
silentNate

London to San Francisco

You??
twassington
04-01-2016
London to Barbados. Not as far as your trip Nate

How many flight hours is that??
silentNate

About 12 I think, I enjoy flying so didn't mind at all. Flying with Virgin Atlantic is also such a pleasure

Worst flight you have been on??

From Dubai to Birmingham in 2007. Wasn't bad, but I thought I was going to die. The guy next to me got removed from the plane. Then the captain announced they found "suspicious baggage" (might not have been the same guy), and the woman next but one said, "Oh, this always happens to me. When I went to Mexico, they found a bomb in the airport and evacuated us. Oh, and there was the time the plane had to make an emergency landing..."

All rationality went from there. When the plane was going to land, the bloody television screens with the front-facing plane camera came down, and all I could see was the plane landing towards all these skyscrapers, and I thought I was done for. Even told my Mum and sister I loved them (not my Dad, as the smarmy git got upgraded to Business Class for free).

Landed safely, obviously. But the longest flight of my life.

Favourite word?

Audacious

I had a nightmare flight back from France this September just passed....serious turbulence and I think most of us thought we were going to die Landed fine though. It was just bad weather but it quite put me off flying

How old were you when you first flew?
silentNate

12 I think

Previous question - Ludonarrative dissonance

As technically two words does that count??

Eight months old in my Mum's stomach. Very nearly had to be born in Cyprus due to the laws of pregnancy and flying. Not sure of the details, but I think Mum and Dad overstayed in Cyprus.

Aside from that, I'd have been a baby. The first time I flew solo was when I was about ten or eleven (maybe twelve?!) to visit my Mum's family in Ireland. Got treated like a little Prince on the flight, which was nice, and I was a bit of a charmer as a kid, so I had the air-hostesses eating out of my hand!! (OK, I'm probably over-exaggerating, but it was an enjoyable trip).

What was the last thing to make you awestruck?
