Did you know King Tut had a cleft palate and a club foot?”

I DID! But I don't remember how I found that out. Perhaps in one of my hungover "Wikipedia reading" sessions. Perhaps.

Did you know that Anubis was not a golden jackal?

Was he not the god of mummification?

Possibly. I don't know. However, may I recommend The Anubis Gates, an excellent fantasy by Tim Powers.

Did you watch the first part of the Egypt series on BBC 2 last night?
silentNate

No. Was it good??

My wife loved visiting Egypt, have you been??

Not heard of the Anubis Gates. I shall have to check it out

Never been on them, so I can't answer!

Am I the only one who always feels guilty for wasting a doctor's time?
silentNate

Nope. I waste doctor's time all the time but sadly safeguarding guidelines mean I have no choice

Do you find accents with an 'upper inflection' intensely annoying??

Intensely. I love my Australian friends, but a lot of them always seem to be asking a question. I do wish I could point out that a statement does not require such a thing, but I'd feel too guilty. Still, the dears aren't as bad as the Americans for it!

Am I the only one who finds the a lot of American comedy interminably dull?
silentNate

Yes, it is only you that dislikes US comedy to that degree

I feel you should start with Modern Family and build up to John Oliver*

Favourite Australian comedy show?? Hmm??

*oh bugger, he's a brit!!

Nah, I've got a housemate (Aussie) that never stops talking through shows. Subtitles are a God-send!

As for Sons and Daughters, all I gotta say is:

Sons and Daughters
Love and laughter
Tears of sadness and happiness
We will find out our sons and daughters
Are what, we too, were once about.....!!!!!

Loved it, not as good as Prisoner Cell Block H, mind.

And yes, unfortunately I'm a Brit-gone-Australia. The Brits see me as an Australian, the Aussies see me as a 'Pom'. I'm in nationality purgatory!

Considering guilty pleasures... What's yours?
silentNate

Gotta go with 'Bad Girls'. That started off my fixation with Prison Drama. Was amazing at the time.

Bieber... That's not a guilty pleasure. That's just pure BDSM for the ears!!

Where in Oz did he go?

Best TV program you've ever seen?
