Yes, it's a northern thing and I have tried it, it's tasty....but if I am having fish n chips I don't want gravy. Chips on their own or pie and chips, yes. But of all the chip variants, cheesy chips rool!

Would you agree?

Cheesy chips are good, but as i'm a northerner, it has to be gravy with various items. Most notably sausage dinners. Mmmmmmm.

Have you had a battered Mars Bars.

I have often wondered that myself Twass. I wonder what causes some of these strange sayings like, Daft as a Brush etc.

In answer to earlier questions, yes, I have read Lord of the Flies and my fave classic book is Wuthering Heights.

Are you dieting Twass? I have been on one and been good all week and not taken anything off at all,

Windows-based Tablets are good CC, have a look at the Linx 1010, roughly £130-150. In fact I think there's a thread in DS Gadgets/Tablets forum 👍

Possibly not However he will know more than I do about such things for sure.

I have a little Kindle Fire which was well cheap and can do the internet as well as store all my books....but the screen is quite small. I take it with me when I am away and post here using it and check email etc. It can do all sorts but mostly I use it for that....

How long do laptops last on average, if used most days?

Edit: planning to make some guacamole and scoff it on toast for lunch

About three years I would guess, the technology is moving faster than most survive. I would thought it would last longer with an old biddy like you asI doubt you would push it to the limit

Are you upset that more migrants have drowned trying to get away from Greece by boat??

Of course The desperation of folks willing to risk the sea at this time of year is a shocking thing and sadly, more will die due to that desperation. Yet nothing is being done to stop flimsy boats from attempting that hazardous crossing

Who are you calling an old biddy? You're more of an old woman than I am

It appears Europe is struggling now with the number of migrants and refugees in their countries, yet we have taken a tiny number. Are you willing and happy for the UK to take in our fair quota?

A lovely forest green I painted it myself.

What colour is yours? They need to stop that painting the migrant's doors red. What idiot thought THAT would be a good idea FFS?

In that case, I've seen your film 'Behind the Green Door'.

My door is like a warm cedar colour.

How many windows are in your house (not including Microsoft Windows).
