What would you do with £10,000??
twassington
16-02-2016
Visit Scandinavia...Iceland, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Those countries are spenno plus I would spend at least a week in each, so that would blow the lot.

How would you spend it?
silentNate
16-02-2016
Put it in the bank in case of emergency... have no money to fall back on and it is a worry in these economic times

Do you have savings??
twassington
16-02-2016
I has some in ISA savings.

Just off to check the hole in the wall to see how much/little is left in the account after rent day.....fortunately it is no council tax month tho!

Had you remembered that? A friend reminded me yesterday, I was like
ChoccyCarole
16-02-2016

I hated the autocorrect on my Hudl, I dislike autocorrect as you end up with lazy mistakes which are fine for email but not when doing company work or tenders

How often do you text message??
lylonic_x
16-02-2016
I don't I use Whatsapp more

If all the electric went out in your house, which board game would you play to pass the time?
farmer bob
16-02-2016
Backgammon.

Ever played it??
ChoccyCarole
16-02-2016
the Backgammon. board looks familiar
but I don't recall ever playing it

I bought a VERY handy kitchen item about 2 weeks ago
that I am finding soooooo useful - every single day since I bought it
@B&M - for about £1-49 ??
It is the very attractive Soft Turquoise coloured - FLAT Salad Colander -

I use it every single day !!!!
to wash and then display an assortment of
Lovely & Colourful Salad items, - to use several times throughout the day

Every day - it has ALL these things on it :-
An iceberg lettuce - A bunch of celery - about 10 cherry tomatoes
a fresh lemon - a cucumber - a carrot - a red capsicum - an onion etc etc etc
I will also put mint / or parsley etc - on it - if I have any

I love it and can place it away - on the top of the gas stove - or window ledge
so it is always ready for when I am out there making a meal of a snack

The other item I bought on the same day is also very useful for just about £1-29?
A wedge shaped scoop with draining holes - I got 2 -
the grey one and the Dark Teal one
They are also very useful
and a fraction of the price of the identical looking Joseph & Joseph one
that I paid about £10 for a few years ago - that I use to scoop out the batch of
pre mixed bird foods - to put onto the 2 plastic feeding plates secured onto the feeding poles

Have you bought any great items - that you find ****very useful**** & reasonably priced
and that you are really glad that you bought it / them ??
silentNate
16-02-2016
Bought really nice HUGE posh teacups for V-Day but haven't used mine yet

Our colander gets a lot of use also.

My wife spent £40 on a potato peeler which I scoffed at but it's so good, lasted around 15 years so far

Are you better off buying quality or just getting the cheapest and replacing??
ChoccyCarole
16-02-2016
sorry - double post
ChoccyCarole
16-02-2016
I aim for quality
Over the years & after discovering that some - cheaper items -
have turned out to be a total waste of money

Every day I eat several salads - so far today I have had 3
and will enjoy another one or two later tonight
One will be another Tuna pasta salad - put onto a big bowl of salad

These are the 3 Yummy salads I have already eaten today
a 2 Hot roast potatoes - on a very big mixed salad
a Deli shop tub of yummy Tuna pasta corn Salad - [ Was £2 - I paid just 9p / Got 2
and not long ago had
a **snack salad** with carrot celery tomato lettuce n sliced beetroot
with my homemade smooth houmous s&p

Have you eaten any salads today or this week ??

No never yuck!

Which decade was music better? 80's or 90's?
twassington
16-02-2016
Yes, I had a salmon salad with hot new potatoes for lunch in a cafe with DIL since we were out and starvin!! It was very nice and not too spensive.

Soup and toast it is for din dins then.

Mini twass is learning the hard way about cheap appliances, when she moved into her own place last year many basic things were got, some of which a year later and in need of replacement already. You get what you pays for!!

Which do you prefer, roast potatoes or chips?

Edit: The 80s!
tawny-owl
16-02-2016
(a). 80s

(b). Roast

Today I cut open a new bag of chips (quick dinner), put a bulldog clip on it and replaced it in the freezer. Then had to go back, get them out again and put some on the baking tray. What's the daftest thing you did today?
twassington
16-02-2016
I was in the loo in the cafe and for the life of me couldn't open the door from the cubicle. Then realised obviously it opened OUTWARDS not inwards Stoooopid!!!

Best way to eat cooked cheese?

I'm doing daft things all the time. Today, well, I've been to the swimming pool. Came out and got changed and was dying to go to the loo. I couldn't make out where they were and I wandered around like a lunitic looking for them. In the end I asked a woman who had just come in if she knew where the loos were. She gave me a very strange look and told me that I was standing next to them. I looked to the side of me and there they were, I must have walked by them a dozen times looking for them. She must have thought I was mad.

My diet isn't going well at all, I have my birthday on Sunday so it's a meal out for that and then cupcakes for tea. Then have a friend taking me out for afternoon tea the following week, plus son has day off and wants to take me to pizza hut. Then it's mother's day, then and another meal out. Then it won't be long to Easter. Do you stay stictly on a diet once you start or do you have time off for birthdays etc?
twassington
16-02-2016
I have time out. Life's too short! There's always an excuse for nosh. Although I did choose a healthy lunch when out...but mostly cos I likes salmon!

Butter or olive oil?
silentNate
16-02-2016
Butter

I'm laughing at Fibro's post as Pizza Hut are obsessed with texting me... I get more texts from them than I do my wife!

Do fast food places ever text you??
twassington
16-02-2016
No, it would be pointless them texting me cos a] I live in the arse end of nowhere when fast food is not delivered and b] my phone has no connection unless I sits it in the window and even then it's random.

I've not had a pizza from anywhere but Iceland in over a year.......but I love the Iceland ones, don't you?
tawny-owl
16-02-2016
Never had Iceland pizzas, will try one when I go next time.

Do you ever wish you could safely hug a lion?
twassington
16-02-2016
Ummm....it's not something I've ever longed for tbh!!

I would like to safely feed a Lion. With me inside a metal cage or something poking the meat through to them!

What sort of animal experience would you like to have?
ChoccyCarole
16-02-2016
yes now that you mention it -
edit >>>>>>> to stroke a Lion- safely would be amazing

I did something silly the other day but can't recall what is was
It was something to do with getting something out to eat - and putting it back in the fridge when I was supposed to put it in the Microwave

I need a new phone to replace my usual corded house phone
- which is a My 2nd >>>>>> and much chosen ** Silver CTT 1000 **
https://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgu...CrwQMwgfKAIwAg
I saw a lovely Red Glossy Retro ** Idect corded phone **
and nearly decided to dash out right now to Argos before they close @8pm
to get this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...er/9106479.htm
super cute phone
with the 2 x £10 gift vouchers that I need to use before the end of March

I will go tomorrow and do a whole bunch of things then
Get The phone and some new weighing scales

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...er/8313892.htm
