Yes, the wood man delivers at 8.30am, I will then have to stack the wood, have a bath after, get the bus into town and get a refund on a shirt I got in Primani last week, do other shoppingy tasks, etc!!

Have you seen the promising reports about a new cancer therapy on the news?

Yes they were talking about it on daytime TV today

Sounds Fantastic and is also a long term deterrent too - lasting for about 2 decades

But I feel so sad for all those - who missed out on such new treatments

I had my one and only wart on my left hand - in the middle of the middle finger - on the palm side of my hand for about 6 years
which was annoying when carrying shopping bags and things

Until my then Lebanese boyfriend used an old family remedy that he prepared for me one afternoon
made from safe and simple household ingredients
something like ?? salt and lemon juice - mixed into a thick paste

He put A blob of it all over the wart -
then wrapped it with maybe ----- some cling film
and kept this on until >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the next night
and >>>>>>>>when we unwrapped it
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> it was ALL COMPLETELY GONE -
leaving just a little pink area of smooth soft skin where it used to be

Have you ever had a wart ?

Only a verruca on my foot as a child. It was blooming painful! I had to give up ballet class....mind you I danced like a rhinocerous in hobnail boots so possibly a good thing

What sort of dancing do you do best?

Ballet dancing was my fave dancing - I was dedicated at the time

Later after leaving school
I discovered with my first mature B/f that I loved Ballroom dancing
He was absolutely brilliant and immediately made me feel like ** I had been dancing for years **
IT WAS A MAGICAL Feeling -
of unity and a great freedom of movement around the whole dance floor - in time with all the music

Ever experienced what I mean ??

He's wrong. We don't all need guns. The less guns there are, the less mass shootings, etc etc. Violence begets violence in my opnion...there has to be a more civilised way to deal with gun crime than to blow the perp's head off.

What's your view?

I can understand why he would feel that way after what they went through
I would dread it if people were allowed guns

Are you feeling all snuggly and warm ??

I do! Clearly they are popular since this is the second series.

Not entirely sure how they would do a third.....

Unless they did 1900 to the 50s?

I can't imagine why they couldn't. (I'd particularly like to see one from the late-40s: the war's over but rationing was still in place.)

Which company makes your mobile phone?

Yes I remember that....I like all these sorts of progs. Early 20th Century would be fab, things changed so quckly...the clothes would be great! I bet the wartime food would be truly grim though

Whale meat anyone?

With one exception (I won't mention it here), I'll give anything a try.

Did you know Sam Smith was the first British person killed by aerial bombardment?

I didn't know that!

This 70s series brings back my early years so vividly...the dial phones, the being left in the car park while the parents were in the pub

Not that we stayed in the car like these kids. We would get out and play in the car park with the other kids, climbing on the car roofs and doing death dives off!

Did you get bought a bottle of pop and a bag of crisps while outside of pubs while the rents were inside?

Edit: Isn't Beeb 3 premiering tonight??

I don't think it exists out side of the world-wide web twass

Yes, I was often abandoned while my parents were at the pub

Did you start drinking before the age of 18??

Yes, about 14...older pals would buy booze in the offy and we'd slurp it in the woods or someone's dad's shed Likewise, woodbines were stolen and furtively tried. In my case only the once, I was horribly sick!

I can remember saving the bathwater for watering the garden with and lugging it downstairs in buckets. Can you?
