farmer bob
07-03-2016
Not sure if it was a typhoon, got caught in a pretty bad storm whilst out in a boat though. People were vomiting everywhere When the boat was finally able to make its way back to harbour, the captain took every person on board, to a Pub for a brandy.

Ever had a near-death experience??
twassington
07-03-2016
Yes. Having my son. Apparently it was a close call. I had an out of body experience during

I was caught in a Typhoon in Florida once, at a Disney resort actually called Typhoon Lagoon. When staff started yelling at the holidaymakers to get off the beach we assumed it was role play. It wasn't Ended up sheltering in the Ladies where we had to stand on the loo seats to keep clear of the flood waters!

My last b/f in Sydney had a very slight stutter when he used words starting with *H*
and the hardest word that cropped up failrly often was " h h h h h holiday "

Have you ever known anyone with a stammer / stutter ??
Picto
07-03-2016
N n n n n n n n no.

Does anyone else have "Hooray! Hooray! It's a Holi-Holiday" stuck in their heads now?
twassington
07-03-2016
I hadn't until you mentioned it

I've not known anyone with a proper stammer, but several with a slight speech impediment where they couldn't pronounce their R's. Like Johnathan Woss.

Have you ever tried Green coke, the so called healthier version?
Picto
07-03-2016
Yes, it tastes horrible.

Can you roll your R's
twassington
07-03-2016
I surrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre can!

Damn, just got four bottles of it to take to the festival cos we will mix it with grog in the caravan and smuggle it into the gig. Saves a fortune Enough Capn Morgans [me] or Jack Daniels [pal] and we won't taste it, right?
Picto
07-03-2016
Correct. I love the way you buy a 'healthy' drink then stick a load of alcohol into it. It's like buying loads of food from McDonalds then ordering a diet coke.

What's the best alcoholic drink invented.
twassington
07-03-2016
Wine I guess.

When did you last use glue, and why?
hooter
07-03-2016
Saturday...........the neighbours cat, who seems to have moved in, scratched the wall and removed a large piece of wallpaper.........me walls are old. So me trusty can of wallpaper sticky down glue came in handy. Unfortunately, having squeezed the nozzle on the wall to get some of the glue out, the nozzle broke off and the entire contents of the can continued to ooze out. The can is now in the wheelie bin........Wonder when I will happen on another can of wallpaper edge glue at the same bargainious price????

You will have to lurk in DIY stores hoots!!

I can't find my tube of No More Nails which I know is somewhere, as the bottom bit of my front door fell off last November and I really should get round to reattaching it.

Do you know where most things are in your house?
hooter
07-03-2016

Ever eaten a Dorset knob?
ChoccyCarole
07-03-2016
No

But ......... Would you please fill us in ?? /

All my Most used DIY stuff is in my kitchen in one side on the shelves of a a really huge cabinet
including my no more nails - every screw imaginable and lots of masonry metal wood drill bits - painting brushes etc
raw plugs - silicon sealants etc etc etc
Other stuff is under the stairs and cans of paints and varnishes are under a round pine dining room table - out in the sun room
twassington

They are a small round hard biscuit type bread product made in Dorset!

I first tried one as a child. Found them very hard and dry like a ship's biscuit.

Would you fancy trying one?
Picto
07-03-2016
Maybe, if I could dunk it in tea.

Is Twass obsessed with knobs?
