The stairs to the landing

Do you like beetroot??
twassington
18-03-2016
It is. As a fellow breadmonger I totally understand its overwhelming allure

I would far far rather have bread than spuds. How about you?
silentNate
18-03-2016
Prefer spuds

Favourite type of crisps??
twassington
18-03-2016
Naked ones with no flavouring whatever. They tastes of SPUD.

Ever tried them?
ChoccyCarole
18-03-2016
no - but would if I saw themmmmmm

If you were at a buffet party
what things would you want to enjoy / eat first ??

I have just this minute finished off ALL the Buffet Platters
All the gourmet'ish sandwiches and the smaller platter of buns - have now all gone -
I have now removed that temptation completely
Sushi's will be next to go
silentNate
18-03-2016
Veggie pizza slices

twass - I get Lightly Salted Tortilla all the time as well as the Salt 'N' Shake, they are like the latter with no salt right??
twassington
18-03-2016
Right, I have LIdl's version of salt and shake and just don't use the salt packets

At a buffet I would go for the devilled eggs and the vol au vents first. After that, dips and crudites. Then pizza or cheese board.

Your bargains sound amazing Choccy.....these things are never available in the shops I am in. The huge sandwich platters......would these have been specially ordered by someone who failed to pick them up?
silentNate
18-03-2016
Not necessarily... Iceland used to do a frozen version of sandwich platters

How gross are frozen then defrosted sandwiches going to taste??
twassington
18-03-2016
Foul I would imagine Some things are best not frozen.

Fave kind of buffet sandwich?
tanstaafl
18-03-2016
Those containing cheese as an important ingredient.

Sandwiches: crustless or crusted?
silentNate
18-03-2016
Crust!

Hairs on chest??
twassington
18-03-2016
Yes. Well, for men

I like men hirsute, with love handles, beards and either shaved heads or long hair. Preferably with tats. Not that I'm fussy or anything.

Women....shaved or not?
silentNate
18-03-2016
Not that fussy, sorry

How many books do you own??
twassington
18-03-2016
I've no idea.....quite a lot!! Although many of them are still in ex Mr Twass house and I have no room for them here so really, I guess they aren't mine any longer.

I have books that were my Dad's when a child. Do you own any of your parents' books?
tanstaafl
18-03-2016
Despite encouraging me to read and always buying me books at Christmas, my father didn't possess many books - a few volumes of Damon Runyon and O Henry, none of which I now have.

As someone who has had a library ticket since about the age of eight, I surprised myself a few years ago by suddenly becoming an exclusively ebook reader. I sometimes look at the ebooks on my local library but they are a rubbish selection. Have you moved to ebooks?
silentNate
18-03-2016
No, hurts my eyes and doesn't feel right. Will check out the Kindle Fire or next gen at some point tho

Have you seen the film Interstellar??
twassington
18-03-2016
No, I haven't.

I love my Kindle, but it's not the same as a real book. I prefer real books. But these days if the print is small I struggle to read it if not in good light. With a kindle you can have the print any size you like and it's back lit!

Did you watch Unreported World?
ChoccyCarole
18-03-2016
No
I think I changed channels about an hour ago and one of the channels I saw for a split seconfd may have been Unreported World

Twassy No they were not special / unclaimed orders

Every day - M&S sell these very Large Display Trays of super fancy Buffet sandwich platters - I presume they are bought for work / meetings lunches etc or for various parties

Last night there were about 10 of these WOW trays of scrumptious sanis
& They were - all reduced to £5-55 - from £18-99p
Along with about 10 of the smaller cute Buffet Buns Reduced to £3
There were ALSO about 6 of the Vegetarian Platters -
Half the tray was made with yummy sanis and the other half of the tray was lots of standing up wraps
filled with Indian style filling These were also reduced to just £3
I was salivating just looking at them all - as they all look so delicious with top notch presentation

I may start on the 3 trays of bargain sushi tonight or tomorrow -
they were all reduced to just 50p each -

and I will start on the M&S super little pairs of beautifully wholesome looking seeded bread rolls / Got 3 packs for 20p each - and there were about 30 packs of them on the shelf all with yellow stickers
I had been in to M&S 3 times last night - @5pm - 6pm & 7-30pm
the first time I only got some bags of reduced Chilis & the pairs of rustic seeded smaller bread rolls and got a flourishing Thyme plant for 30p

The next visit I got the bargain ham and mushrooms

The last visit was the best -- @7-30 when I accidentally stumbled across all these fab Platters of party sanis - buns & suhis

I don't go near the shops until I have room left - for the next batch of bargains

I could get loads of bargains every single day -
but I never have space left in my freezer

- and my fridge is always stacked - after each newly filled Trolley of Bargains
and my veg & fruit trolley is so full of bargain goodies
and umpteen assorted breads too etc etc

Are you very happy with your home phone - and all it's functions
Would you recommend the model that you use ??
hooter

summat tall dark and handsome............know of such a personage?
twassington
18-03-2016
Mine's rather old and all the numbers have worn off so dialling is guesswork It works OK though. I hate phones. I know some folks love to chat on the phone but it's not my thing
I don't go in M&S often, but I hadn't realised they did those big sandwich platters......I just wonder who would be buying those on a daily basis especially at £18 each!!!! However it was your gain

For our Cats Protection Xmas party we ordered from M&S those sandwich platters and I ended up scoffing most of the leftover ones. Nom nom

Would you fancy living in a cave?

Edit: Tall dark and handsome, on DS?? Are you having a larf hoots?
hooter
18-03-2016

silentNate
18-03-2016

I knew a social worker who went off to Italy to become a troglodyte
