twassington
28-03-2016
No, I needs my car where I live. No one has a motorcycle out in these here parts!! The roads aren't suitable.

It is really bizarre to see celery as an ingredient in my Marmite egg What foods do you like with weird ingredients in them?
silentNate
28-03-2016
My wife puts celery into virtually every savoury dish

Don't look at ingredients that often so not noticed anything, sorry

I am the same Twass, a very hard decision.

I am p****d off. We have come away for a few days. Bought my mobility scooter as I can't get anywhere without it. Got here and the battery is faulty so can't use it. Can't get one locally as has to be specsilly ordered. Hire scooters all out this week as holiday time. Husband going home tomorrow to fetch all spares etc so a wasted day and we are only here til Fri. I am so f****d off.

What's the weather been like with you today?
silentNate
28-03-2016
If I were there I'd look at it Fibro, I've fixed 'em before

Weather has been awful

I saw that one!! But the last one I signed was to stop Monsanto poisoning any more bees.

What rotten luck Fibro......I hope Mr F manages to sort the vehicle out for you today. Very annoying!!

Off to drive son in to work shortly. His car had better be fixed today......I'm turning into a taxi service!! And he's on the early shift today so I feel like I got up in the middle of the night!

When did you get up?
silentNate
29-03-2016
06:20

Do you tend to be an early riser??
twassington
29-03-2016
Usually yes....struggled to get up at 6.30 though. Oddly enough it felt like earlier

Glorious morning out there.....but nippy! Been out?
ChoccyCarole
29-03-2016
Very Bright sunny and warm out there - no need to be rugged up

Yes
@11am I was outside - for about half an hour
While I sorted and put my wheelie bin out

While out there I did a bit of weeding for several of the tubs
>>>>>> just below the window behind me
Will be going out for several hours later on today with Rosie - as I am running a bit low on some salad items - / tomatoes and cukes -
and I am also due a refund £7-40
They charged me A higher price for 4 of about 20 items that were
******* All Just 9p each ******
Luckily I looked at the receipt > that was still in my jacket pocket at the weekend

It was so pleasant out there that I only needed to wear :-
A thin blue sleeveless tee shirt - with just a very light - pale grey fleece zip up top
With comfy lavendery blue trousers & thick thermal purple socks with navy crocs

I have got 3 Questions for you
Do you always check your receipts ??
What are you wearing ??
and what is your colour scheme for the day so far ??
twassington
29-03-2016
Not sure I have a colour scheme as such.....I have on blue jeans, a purple vest top, a knit dress/tunic over it in shades of navy, purple, brown and yellow and a wine coloured fleece over that. I'm very toasty and don't need the fleece really. Brown furry boot slippers and purple socks.

I am not a checker of receipts

I've taken off and washed the thin summer duvet from the spare room bed, which was on the bed together with the thicker winter one [which is still on there]. Around mid June I will put the clean summer thin duvet back on the bed and wash the Winter one and put that away til the end of September. Do you have the same duvet on all year round, or do you do as I do with sometimes the winter, sometimes the summer and in the coldest months of the year, both on the bed?

For quite a few years I have just used some super soft fleecy American ** Berkshire ** Blankets / Throws -
I only need to use THE SAME one - in summers and winters -
They wash and dry in no time

The first Luxurious fluffy one was in 2013 When I got myself :- A Single Emerald green one
Then I got an Extra large *Berkshire* Turquoise one /
Which was for my Sis - to match her decor
but then I didn't see her over Xmas in 2013 - or 2014
- So eventually - many months later - I decided to use it here in August 2015
as I had by then just bought - A ** huge brand new looking ** dark green recliner sofa
- [ I had to get it - mainly because it was SUCH A Great Bargain !!!!!! ]
They delivered it with the matching green pouffe and the matching single recliner chair
[ at no extra charge ]
which I had to decline as It would be too much to have in this room
and it was rainy weather to have kept it outside - while I went to find a neighbour who would like to have it

Luckily before this Xmas 2015 - I began searching in TKMAXX
and found The Identical Super soft Berkshire blanket - to give her
But could only find the replacement one in ** Teddy bear beige **

I have a Sunroom - [ Approx 12' x 14 " ] - built onto the back of the house
A porch
2 rooms down here - lounge and large Kitchen [ 16.5' x 9 ' ]
and 2 bedrooms & a small landing and bathroom >>>>>> upstairs

Do you have 2 bedrooms ??
silentNate
29-03-2016
Yes, one acts as a spare room and is full of junk however

Do you often have guests??
twassington
29-03-2016
I regularly have peeps staying in the spare room. I'm a holiday resort Fortunately there is also a very small third room in which all the junk lives. I don't think you could get a bed in it....a cot maybe. Well, if you took all my junk out first

It's getting very windy again as the day progresses Are we in for yet another storm??
ChoccyCarole
29-03-2016
Not for a while

my second smaller bedroom is used as a storage area too

Over the years I have on several occasions had
[ Cat / Dog - Animal charities come and collect - Van loads of **very good stuff **
and since 2008 Each time I go to the Dentist - at 6 monthly intervals -
I have always then taken a stack down the road to the Cat charity shop
which is basically just over the road from the Dentist
Before I go - I usually ask around if anyone else wants me to take anything there - before going to go there - Once My Sis and I sorted out a car load of stuff @ her place
>>>>>> for me to take there

I have had vans come to my home 4 times so far
Twice was not too long before I moved in here
and Two **BIG Van ** loads have been collected >> since I have been here

Would you ever consider selling some stuff ??
Such as in a car boot / garage / garden sale ??
& have you ever sold anything online ??
twassington
29-03-2016
I've never sold anything online, but I gave things to a friend when they were very hard up and they sold them online in their eBay shop.

I have used Freecycle and got rid of things like that, also acquired things. My spare room has a chest of drawers, bedside table and a large mirror I got on Freecycle for nuthing!!!

I could do a car boot if I had a bigger car. As it is, with the titchy car, and with what I could get rid of....well none of it would fit

Ever used Freecycle?
ChoccyCarole
29-03-2016
No
I have looked at the website years ago but never used it myself
Very Well done Twassy - with your spare bedroom being sorted that way

Years ago before I moved here when 2 stacked van loads had just been collected -
- I said to myself -
In future Always - think Twice !!!!!!! before EVER buying anything else

But especially since all this ability to do shopping online - I have even more stuff than ever
I *could* easily find something I * need * or * would like * - almost every week -

So - have you got ** more than a car load of stuff **
that you ** could live without that you could would or should ** part with ??
AND
Do you actually ** know exactly how to sell stuff / yourself - on eBay ** ??
silentNate
29-03-2016
I do Some of it belongs to my wife though

Are you good a filing??
twassington
29-03-2016
I don't know how the eBay selling thing works, somehow you create a virtual "page" or shop that you list the items on and either you name a price, or folks bid to win the item. I have two fold up cushion beds I got for my granddaughters but on their recent visit they have outgrown them now so I could get rid of them, but they wouldn't fit in the car. I'm not sure I have anything that would be worth much to sell, to be honest. I could get rid of a very old wooden cutlery case with ancient cutlery in it that I think belonged to my grandparents, mum's elderly Singer sewing machine, but it doesn't work and I doubt it's worth anything. These are things I don't use. Otherwise I don't own all that much stuff really. Clothes, I recycle at the charity shop.

Have you got any hot cross buns left? I just scoffed the last one!
silentNate
29-03-2016
Nah, might pick some up when I go egg hunting on the way home though

Bought any bargains lately??
