No but the friends I am seeing tomorrow for the bonfire party have a son in the GB Fencing team, he's done 3 Olympics

If I'm a geek, you're a nerd!!

What's the difference between a geek and a nerd?

I've not wielded a real sword but I have done fencing. I put a lovely timber slat one up around my garden.

I'm very good with the bow and arrow though.

Geeks aspire to be nerds.

Have you ever hit a bullseye.

Archery?? I've hit a bullseye but it was a fluke!

That sport is hard on the shoulders

Are you sensitive or do you have broad shoulders??

I'm a tough cookie. Life has made me thus.

When the shit hits the fan are you a coper or a moper?
Picto
06-11-2015
That's a tricky one because it's usually someone elses sh1t that hits the fan and I have to deal with it. So I suppose i'm a coper.

When the sh1t hits the fan do you clean the fan or buy a new one.

I don't need a fan... not in this weather

Ever worked a night shift??
twassington
06-11-2015
Not an all nighter, no.

Have you?
The_Sleeper
06-11-2015
33 yrs on & off

Did the fireworks upset your cat/dog last ninght ?
silentNate
06-11-2015
Nah, our cats love fireworks... they jump around staring out the window trying to swat them!

I wouldn't employ anyone called The_Sleeper to do a night shift

Were your animals frit??
The_Sleeper

My dog was going daft

did you take your name on DS, from a comic you've read ?
silentNate
06-11-2015
No, it's from a character in a Kevin Smith movie

Is your username from a 1940's spy movie??
The_Sleeper
06-11-2015
Nah, cos I worked for BR for 33 yrs

Do you like chicken chaat ?
silentNate
06-11-2015
I don't eat chicken but chaat sound lovely

Poor BR, they no longer exist, perhaps that nice Mr. Corbyn will bring them back

Should they renationalise the railways??
The_Sleeper
06-11-2015
Every day of the week in my book

Yours ?
twassington
06-11-2015
For sure!

I'm watching the new series of Les Revenants which DIL had taped for me while I was in Turkey....still the most brooding, atmospheric and downright creepy thing on the tellybox.

Have you been watching the new series? First episode seen, two to go!!
silentNate
06-11-2015
Not seen it yet but will probably catch up once I get the chance

Sleepy - I'd love to see them renationalised and wiping out the fat cats along with their greedy shareholders

Are you politically minded??
twassington
06-11-2015
To a certain extent, yes. We need change in this country!!

Right?
silentNate
06-11-2015
No, I'm a more left-wing thinker

Will you be getting Adele's new album or will you just listen to it in cafes??
twassington
06-11-2015
Cafe's will do

Left is the only way forward. I think this may actually be dawning on the slightly more aware of the electorate. Especially the floating middle class voter who ended up voting Tory

Do not miss The Returned! It's awesome! And the photography is something else, just like in the first series.

I had a little trouble remembering everything from Series one, do you recall it all?
silentNate
06-11-2015
Not a chance, I'm sure I could pick it up quickly though

Anything-else worth watching on TV??
twassington
06-11-2015
The Last Kingdom as I may have mentioned before. Thursday nights, Beeb 2.

What's for dinner?
Gregg-Pieman9
06-11-2015
Curry and Chips

Do you ever listen to all request friday on radio 2 with simon mayo
silentNate
06-11-2015
No, can't stand Simon Mayo.

Favourite DJ??
twassington
06-11-2015
Normski!!

Do you have fireworks banging and crashing round you?
Fibromite59
06-11-2015
No, in fact I haven't heard as many as we do most years round here. I expect there will be more over the weekend though. There was a big firework display on at a local park last night, but I was suprised it went ahead as it was raining.

When you were little did you used to have a bag of fireworks and keep looking at them lovingly in the days leading up to firework night?
