Yorkshire tea and marmalade.

That licorice sounds like the licorice hardstick that was my dad's fave as a child in the 30s. I always wanted to try it but it wasn't sold after the war apparently

Do you remember Fry's 5 boys chocolate bar?

If the channel is called Bruce Springsteen, then yes.

Does anyone recall Health & Efficiency magazine?

PS Re the liquorice thing, after the war (and I mean WWII) we youngsters could buy a thing called Spanish Root. It actually was a root which you chewed and extracted a liquorice tasting ingredient.

PPS Any references to Spanish Fly will be treated with the contempt that they deserve.

No - it doesn't ring a bell

Just recalled a question I noticed that you had asked me - at the weekend Twassy
No I don't give my friend **any of my Wokky creations **
but when she brings me my new Sunday Roast >>>>> we meet halfway and do a swap
I always put a few items on the plate I return to her
I do a SWAP with ** A surprise combo of 3 items **
This Sunday it was :-

A tin of peas - salmon and a whole pack of cherry tomatoes Still on the vine
previous Sunday's it has been
a tinned corned beef - baked beans and potatoes
a tin of Heinz beans with sossies - bottle of lime lemonade - pack of choc coated rice cakes
or a big bottle of beetroot - bottle of salad cream & 2 sachets of jelly
or a jar of jam - pack of Ryvitas - or rice cakes and a pack of tea cakes

what would you give her ??

Maybe last year sometime.....I am not much of a selfie taker. Other folks seem to have their phones out all the time snapping everything so I let 'em get on with it

Do you take many?

No I don't remember those.

My friend and I got in trouble with the Golden Nuggets. We pretended the nuggets were heroin. And invented an imaginary game where we were heroin addicts........caught by my pal's mum and given a severe ticking off

Can you remember imaginary games you played as a kid?

The news. Articles like Channel 4 News showed last night, footage of injured children in Afghanistan Babies with arms blown off. It doesn't get much worse than that

Do you get out of bed as soon as you are awake, or have a ten minute snooze? Or longer?

No...and much as I like cinnamon, I prefer minty fresh breath.

Cinnamon is nice on roasted broccoli though. Ever tried that? A tip from one of mini twass' Greek friends.
