No

What advice if any would you give me
ChoccyCarole
13-04-2016
I don't post in the advice thread
My advice would be - never go shopping without your money or a card to pay for stuff

From the titles - I would not fancy the count to a million thread

I used to love the Alphabetical Alliteration and the 3 word story threads

Have you got wheelie bins ??
If not do you have milk / or newspaper deliveries >> in your area ??

No milk or newspaper deliveries here, too remote, but I do have wheelie bins which are emptied on Thursdays.

Greg...you would need to post a question or ask for help in Advice before I could offer you any as would need to know what area you wanted advice in first.

Do you buy brands, or supermarket's own versions of groceries?
silentNate
13-04-2016
A mixture. For cereal I go for the brand and ditto to soft drinks. Stuff like tinned goods (tomatoes and that) make very little difference

Have you seen how these implants have helped people with spinal/brain damage use their limbs again??
twassington
13-04-2016
Yes, I saw the guy using his hands on the news earlier after the implant in his brain. Clever stuff and great hope for those paralysed after accidents.

Do you think medical science will be able to fix severed spinal cords within our lifetime?
silentNate
13-04-2016
Not within your lifetime twass... perhaps in mine!!

Are you please that production of Ginger Nuts has restarted at the factory in Carlisle??
twassington

silentNate
13-04-2016
Early seventies??

Have you ever been to a live sports event??
twassington

silentNate
13-04-2016
Depends... do you know anyone with a spare liver

Favourite stand-up comedian??
twassington
13-04-2016
Mine was a sit down comedian. Dave Allen. Politically incorrect but very funny!

Would you consider riding a bicycle in London traffic? Watching 24 hours in A&E, horrific injuries to a cyclist
silentNate
13-04-2016
No, never again. Too dangerous these days

Do you wait at the lights or do you jaywalk??
The_Sleeper

Gary just died on the jaywick show I watched ?

Did you watch it ?
twassington
13-04-2016
No, I tend not to watch those sort of programmes. I am not sure they do the participants any favours

I do know Jaywick however, very near where Splint was born and bred in Harwich.

Watching Channel 4's survey on British Muslims. Interesting explanations of Sharia Law which I wasn't aware of. Are you familiar with it?
silentNate
13-04-2016
Sharia Law?? I'm familiar but know different muslims have different interpretations. Gonna watch that documentary on +1

Watching ridiculous horror movie The Quiet Ones

Do you own slippers??
twassington
13-04-2016
Yes, several pairs, I love slippers!! In winter I would be lost without them since the cottage is so cold.

Would you want to be marooned on an Island with Bear Grylls?

I will take your word for that Twassy

I have only one if them
The first and last fizzy ice cream drink I ever made - was years ago in NZ
I made it with their regular ice cream
I think it was called " A Spider "

I think I made some - one day in this house for the many kids
who would regularly be in here - often >> for most of the day

I noticed some of you mentioned Blake 7 recently
In the last hour I have seen the heading that
" Blake's 7 actor Gareth Thomas dies aged 71 "

What drinks have you had so far today ??
twassington
14-04-2016
Water and tea, several of both. About to have another cup of tea now

Sweep has been and I now have a lovely clean chimney and hearth. I polished the hearth tiles with a bit of cooking oil and they are looking lovely now. Almost a crime to light the fire and mess it up again

First of the goose eggs are in the farm shop....ever eaten one?
