No but had my first duck eggs just over a year ago - as they were selling many boxes of 6 eggs in the yellow carton for 9p
I Got several boxes - and often look out for them being reduced again
They were in lovely white shells and were soooooooooo yummy / it said on the carton that they are great for baking

Your chimney fire and hearth sounds really well cared for Twassy

What do goose eggs taste like and are the shells blue ? and bigger ?

The shells are white, they are huuuuuge and very hard to break open. Inside is a massive yolk and white. If you fry it one will fill a large frying pan, and the white doesn't go entirely opaque like a hen's egg, but slightly glasslike still. They are very rich indeed and one of them on a couple of slices of toast is a dinner!!!

They cost around £1.50 each and best eaten fresh laid, so it is a rare treat.

Have you ever worked as a Poll clerk or counted the votes after an election?

I will look out for a Freshly laid Goose egg

How often have you counted the votes ??

Four or five times, when I worked for the council. We'd start around 11pm and finish at 4-5am. Nice bit of extra earnings though!

Plums or prunes?
ChoccyCarole

I love both - but prunes have a richer flavour mmmmmmmmmmmm
& yummy juice - and all lovely with hot creamy custard

I do, medjool are the tastiest, but also the most expensive....

Just been out for a play with the new strimmer, I now have green socks and feet!!! I did have crocs on but grass went everywhere......

Have you ever strimmed? So much easier than mowing!
ChoccyCarole

I love Medjool dates too
and yes I have strimmed- mostly at my previous house
Don't bother with a strimmer these days as the whippy cord kept breaking
and you do have to be careful of any little animals
and any that may be in amongst the long grass
and keep your toes covered
I know about getting ** green feet ** - from all the grass and ** grass juice **

has been bright mild and sunny all afternoon here ---- same for you ??

to get some luxury hot chocs topped with thick cream & many marshmallows @Dobbies

Then Take Rosie for a nice walk & a play - may take one or two of the local children
as they have asked if they could come

Then will get my big roast dinner on Sunday

that has filled up with gravel and soil from the gutters after the heavy rains not long ago

Yes, I always have a CD in the car player on at full blast! At the moment it's The Cure. I keep about 20 CDs in the car at any one time to have a good selection.

Do you play CD's or plug in your iPhone or listen to the radio?

I'm usually listening to my iPhone on the bus to/from work and have the radio (via the Internet) at work.

I listen to my i-Pod

Should peeps be allowed to text during movies??
twassington
14-04-2016
No! People can live without technology for a couple of hours during a film. Even on silent, the light from the phone screen can be distracting for people sitting near the texter.

Should all phones be confiscated at the start of a film and onlly given back as peeps leave the movie theatre?
silentNate
