For me, on a sarny every time. In fact had my version of a sarnie earlier - the bread nowadays replaced with ciabatta rolls (and of course onions..it's the 'law'..lol)

Do people really slip over on banana peels ?

Yes, they are very slippy. I've nearly slipped up on one in the past.

Did you know the inner peel of a banana is said to cure warts?

No (something I envisage saying to many questions) that one is new to me.

My pal Jake is looking at me with an expectant face, hence better feed him - before he decides to dine on my leg !

And as a random aside, you have constabularies for South Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire. Is there no East Yorkshire ?

Yorkshire has Ridings, in terms of regions, and yes it has an East Riding or just East Yorkshire.

Have you ever filled cold yorkshire puds with cream and jam?
ChoccyCarole

I just saw that East Yorkshire / Ridings - info / on google
I recently told a young girl about trying the inner flesh of a banana skin
to see if it helps remove several small warts on her fingers
Years ago my Lebanese B/f used a well known and brilliant old remedy
using some simple kitchen ingredients [ I also made up a small pot to give the girl to try ]

Within 2 days my nuisance and unsightly wart that I'd had on the middle section of my / left hand's middle finger / palm side / for about 5 or more years
When I removed the plasters - It had ** completely gone in about 1 or 2 days**
I vaguely recall it involved lemon juice vinegar and maybe sugar or salt
?? then he put a blob of this paste >>>>>>>>> smothered generously all over the big old wart
then keeping it snuggly wrapped for about 24 hours

The wart was completely gone and all that was visible was
just a small circular area of - new pink smooth skin - where it this wart had been

No I have never filled a yorkie with that filling

have you tried it ??

Yes, it's delicious

It's sort of the same as having a pancake with cream and jam.....pancake batter and yorkie batter are pretty much the same.

If you ever had skool dinners, which custard was your fave, the yellow, the white, the pink or the brown [chocolate]?

I had a Lidl magnumalike last week.

Have you seen they've brought out a new Magnum with peanut butter??
hooter

tried a chunk in Sainsburys last week....nimmie, much

fancy some yogurt?
silentNate
19-04-2016
No. Isn't it spelt yoghurt btw??
twassington
19-04-2016
Not as much as I fancy a peanut butter Magnum to be perfectly frank

Do you tart up natural yogurt with jam?
silentNate
19-04-2016
I don't like yoghurt much, sorry

I like hazelnut yoghurt... which fruit yoghurt should I try??
ChoccyCarole
19-04-2016
I have always loved hazelnut yoghurts since taking one in each day to have for my school lunches in NZ
MMMM all fruity yoghurts are fabulous
Strawberry - Raspberry - Peach - Lemon or Black currant - are always deelish

I do sometimes add a yummy jam or puree or fruity sauce
and sometimes I add various nuts / and / or / fruits / oats - honey etc

I turn my yoghurts upside when I store them in the fridge
apparently turning them upside down makes the yoghurts - airtight -
Edit = It sounds ridiculous but what happens is that you create a vacuum at the top of the container and it helps to reduce the bacterial growth so it doesn't go off as quickly. Just make sure you have a tight-fitting lid or you could end up with a bit of a mess

Will you try it ??
twassington
19-04-2016
Knowing my luck I'd have a leaky lid on my yogurts

You should try raspberry creamy yogurt Nate. Lush!

Do you ever use wax polish on wooden furniture?
hooter
19-04-2016
yus..but I`ll have to make sure that the lids are secure..could be terrible mess...wot you think?
silentNate
19-04-2016
Erm... not a fan of yoghurt

Will Trump win New York??

Unfortunately I can see a flaw in the vacuum argument. For this to work the yoghurt is going to have to fall down as a solid plug and drive the air from the container. But, as you say, you need a tight-fitting lid to prevent a horrible mess. In which case I'd say what probably happens is that the air rises along the inside surfaces of the jar so that it ends up at the top.

Have you ever made your own yoghurt?
silentNate
19-04-2016
Erm... not a fan of yoghurt, so no!

Will Trump win New York??
twassington
19-04-2016
Yes, I have made it in the past.

I hope Trump has no more wins

Limes or lemons?
ChoccyCarole
19-04-2016
Lemons - more so

I have about 12 lemons in my kitchen right now
Got a very big bag for 5p and a 4 pack of Organic lemons - for 5p

How many have you got ATM ??
& when you think of - fresh lemons -
what are the first ways - you would like to use them ??
silentNate
19-04-2016
I only buy lemons when I'm planning to make lemonade... it requires a lot of sugar however

Ever made homemade lemonade??
twassington
19-04-2016
I have, it does use a shedload of the white stuff

Lemon drizzle cake is a good way to use lemons. And no salad should be made without a squirt of fresh lemon juice!

Ever had to wear a plaster cast?
ChoccyCarole
19-04-2016
Yes - I made lemonade at school once ..........and a few times in Sydney

Have you eaten much bread today ??
twassington
19-04-2016
Three slices of a small loaf. One with half a tin of mackerel and a slice of cheese on, grilled, one with half a small avocado on, and one with raspberry jam.

How much bread have you had?
tanstaafl
19-04-2016
A slice of toast for breakfast.

Having pressure washed the patio yesterday (and knackered myself), I christened it by having lunch out there today. Do you like al fresco dining?
