I am not overly keen when it gets too hot - it is a bit chilly here right now Just read that The Singer Billy Paul has also died from a short battle with Pancreatic Cancer ![]() & Same here - I did not know the singer's **name** - which is so odd considering it is one of those mega well known great songs - for all these years Yet we often know the names of many other ** forgettable & less gifted ** singers - Twassy I Just noticed you have **Moved** from >>>>>>>>>> Your Rural Heaven >>>>>>>>>> to The Owl Sanctuary So far today We have had A Rainy cool morning with a few unexpected sunny moments like we have just got as I typed that sentence Has any sunshine managed to peep through your soggy clouds - yet ?? |

This totally is the Owl Sanctuary. The cottage is full of owls and outside the real ones hoot all night ![]() About to take mini twass to the station, she took a half day.....and will be back Friday night for the Beltane weekend!! I shall spend this week dog sitting for Bragg and Eddie while son and DIL go orf to Brum to see her heart specialist and visit her folks in Staffordshire. This involves sleeping with the little darlings in their bed. Do you or have you slept with your pets in the same bed? |

A local strong powerful cheddar which I just got a small piece of in the farm shop along with narnas, apples, pears, oranges, tomatoes and broccoli.
Also got three lovely garden plants in an offer they had, one yellow, one purple and one clover pink. Started to chuck it with rain here now so will have to plant them out later or tomorrow.....which of those colours would you choose as favourite? |

I think Clover pink probably, but they all sound nice.
We've just bought a sandwich toaster so I am busy trying out all sorts of fillings. One that is really good is mashed banana, strawberry jam and brown sugar. Have you any really good ideas for it? |

I would try brie and grapes, blue cheese and celery, peanut butter and jam [boring but a nice toastie!!] and avocado and chilli prawns.
My mother had a round toastie maker years ago which you sat on the gas ring then turned over to do the other side. She would break an egg into the bread case with grated cheese. That was nomtastic!! What's your lunch? |
