Nope, just use work puter or home puter

Have you heard that Indonesian police have had to confiscate a sex toy mistaken for an 'angel' by villagers??
twassington
04-05-2016
I hadn't....you would think the mouth might give the game away...that and the lack of wings! And the .....plasticness Bless their innocence though. Rare in this corrupt modern age.

What was your lunch? Prepare for insane jealousy! I had four fish fingers in a ciabatta roll with sliced cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato, mayo and ketchup. Beat that!!

Yum !

Yes Nate saw that story with pics of her - all dressed in her finery yesterday

I had steamed then //// Griddle marked
sweet potato & marrow on a 2 x little gem lettuce salad
With cherry tomatoes and a dressing made from houmous drizzled all over it
Now having some Lipton's red berry tea

Just before I felt that My lap top was emitting lots of heat !!!!
Has this ever happened to you your devices ??
twassington
04-05-2016
If you had fleecy trousers or a blanket over your lap and the lappy on that, it could get overheated. I try not to leave it on my lap for long periods. Not noticed the Kindle ever get too warm though.

Just finished strimming down the meadow which is my "lawn" to a slightly better length. It's HOT out there!

Do you suffer from hay fever?
Picto
04-05-2016
No. I used to play out in all the muck when I was a youngster.

Do you think patterns of play affect our childrens health?
twassington
04-05-2016
I think bleaching everything and not letting kids get filthy does them no favours at all.

I also think leaving them to get on with it in terms of imaginary play is far better than adults "guiding/interfering". I was just shown the door as a child. So long as I was back for teatime no one cared what I got up to. Was your childhood similar?
Picto
04-05-2016
Very similar. I used to explore, climb, swing, tunnel, wade, hide, ride, jump, etc. and be back for tea all worn out. Then do something similar, but a little different the next day.

Did you ever hang a rope swing off a big tree?
twassington
04-05-2016
Yes, there was one in the woods [where we were not meant to play, but did anyway, no one checked] over a stream. Swinging from bank to bank was great fun! Also damming the stream with branches etc.

Did you sit in trees in the park waiting for unsuspecting adults to walk beneath, then hang upside down from the branch by the knees and say "hello!" ?
Picto
04-05-2016
No. i would probably fall off and land on them.

Did you build a den?
twassington
04-05-2016
Many dens. Everywhere had den possibilities. We had dens in dense undergrowth at the bottom of gardens, in parks, or the woods, dens in tool sheds, dens in home made wigwams made from garden canes and old blankets, dens under dining room tables and under beds, in wardrobes and up trees. We would try to get food and drink to have in the dens, but in the days of very little pocket money and snack denying parents this wasn't easy unless you were light fingered.

I once nicked dry macaroni and we tried eating it in a wigwam. It wasn't a great success Did you thieve food as a child?
Picto
04-05-2016
I can't recall thieving any food.

I do remember that my sister used to tell me she had spit in certain drinks so I wouldn't touch them and she could have them all to herself. I fell for it every time.

Did the 'fizzy pop' man ever visit your neighbourhood in his truck?
twassington
04-05-2016
The Corona Man!! He did, but we never had any. My cousin on the other hand had a crate of different pops every month. I was very jealous of the cherryade which I only tasted at Christmas or other kids birthday parties. Also the Cream soda. Pop did not exist in our house other than Christmas and birthdays

Is this why I have such good teeth to this day? Water, milk and the occasional weak Lemon Barley?
tanstaafl
04-05-2016
Well, it definitely won't have done them any harm.

Have you strong feelings on fluoridization? For the record I'm in favour of it.
twassington
04-05-2016
I think it probably helps the teeth of many, but the idea of not having the choice as to whether or not to have it seems wrong.

Are you scared of the dentist?
tanstaafl
04-05-2016
Well, I had to have a tooth out recently, the first in many decades. I was nervous but afterwards I wondered what all the fuss was about - it couldn't have been quicker.

Have you ever been told the price of a crown then swallowed hard and muttered "I'll think about it."
twassington
04-05-2016
I still have all my own teeth and virtually no fillings so no idea how much a crown is. Is it hundreds?? THousands??
EStaffs90
04-05-2016
^ According to Google, they cost £233.70 on the NHS.

Did you have braces when you were a child?
twassington
04-05-2016
Yes. They didn't stay in long. Once home I prised them out again using my mothers knitting needles. After a few more abortive attempts the dentist gave up.

My teeth went back on their own! Well more or less.

Did you have braces?
silentNate
04-05-2016
No, thankfully. Apparently they can give you migraines in later life and cause more problems with your teeth

Ever slam a door to extract a baby tooth??
twassington
05-05-2016
My dad did that to one of mine It was over in a flash though, as he had promised.

Can you still remember wobbling a tooth round your mouth as a kid when it was hanging on by a thread?
silentNate
05-05-2016
Oh yes!

Will you be voting today??
twassington
05-05-2016
Of course I shall.

I imagine the turnout will be small

WIll you be visiting the polling station?
silentNate
05-05-2016
Yeah, heading off in a couple of hours

I fear Goldsmith will get in if the turnout is especially low

Did you buy the newspaper New Day??
twassington
05-05-2016
No, I never buy papers, just pick up the local freebie.

Will all printed newspapers become obsolete in 20 years?
silentNate
05-05-2016
You give them that long?? Closer to ten

Should Disney give Elsa a girlfriend??
