Not yet, been strimming the meadow out back! Everything is on full on grow as much as possible.

Can you take a hint, or do folks need to spell stuff out to you?
ChoccyCarole
16-05-2016
Yes - I can usually take a hint

The answer to your previous question would be
I always have plenty of space to receive incoming mail
as my inbox is not even close to being full
- but - I blocked receiving any more PM's early in 2014 -
due to one unexpectedly friendly then > overly friendly and then very risqué male messenger
who first began messaging me just one month after my last PM when you had written to me about Chins birthday on 16/1/2014 - [ My Ex OZ B/f was also born on that date ]
This *monk* guy sent me 8 messages from 19th Feb till I blocked the
increasing risquéness on 26th Feb 2014

Have you ever blocked your PM box from receiving any incoming messages ??
Picto
16-05-2016
I've never blocked anyone.......................yet.

I've heard a few members have received naughty pm's in the past. Do you think these 'risque' PM's are quite widespread?
ChoccyCarole
16-05-2016
Nor sure as I have only ever had that one person
I just re-counted and he sent me 9 messages -
the last couple made me feel very uncomfortable indeed
He watched - to see when I was online -

Have you been invited to any BBQ's so far this year ??
twassington
16-05-2016
Not thus far

I just got the first fat lip of my life in the garden, when the strimmer fell off its nail on the shed wall right onto my gob. I look most bizarre now. At least no teeth broken! I just carried on gardening but now I've come indoors it is not a pretty sight. Oh well

Ever had a fat lip?
Picto
16-05-2016
Yes, when I flipped myself over the top of the wheelbarrow. I got two black eyes then as well.

Have you had any black eyes?
twassington
16-05-2016
Yes, only once when I slipped on a wet kitchen floor and whacked my face on the kitchen table on my way down. I got so tired of telling peeps how I did it. Why do people always want to know how you got injured?
silentNate
16-05-2016
So they can snigger behind your back

Should we be worried about Sinead O'Connor??
twassington
16-05-2016
From the sound of things, yes Missing several days, possibly suicidal, not good news at all.

Are today's politicians just a bunch of naughty kids in a playground?
ChoccyCarole
16-05-2016
yes

grrrrrrrrrr been looking ages online for a suitable leak proof bag to carry
very soggy swimwear & a small towel etc home from the pool
Have found bags that are waterproof - which stop water getting in
but I want one that stops water getting out
Can't find one - and I want it to be cheap'ish too

Do you know of a good one - that I could check out ??

ps

Ah, great news about Sinead!

To be honest, when I go swimming I just use a plastic shopping bag. Simples!!

Are you feeling chilly tonight? I'm under the slanket!
silentNate

It's cool here but not cold yet

What is your favourite manufacturer for jeans??
EStaffs90
16-05-2016
I'm not a fan of trousers - I find them uncomfortable, so tend to wear skirts - and I therefore don't have one.

What's the furthest you've ever gone away from home?
twassington
16-05-2016
Cheap ones! I don't own any posh designer ones, Levis or other branded makes. Quite a few pairs I own are from charity shops. Others from Asda or Lidl.

WHat's the most you would spend on a pair of jeans?
farmer bob
16-05-2016
£40

Do you ever listen to "Book at bedtime" on BBC Radio 4 ??
silentNate
16-05-2016
No. Do you ever listen to The Archers??
ChoccyCarole
17-05-2016
No

Thanks very much for the ProSwimwear Link Nate -- been there for a while having a good look around

Have you ever been on a ship ??
silentNate
17-05-2016
Yes, many ships from those mooring, yachts to ferries and larger canal boats.

Have you ever been on a cruise ship??
twassington
17-05-2016
Not a big one, just the one that goes from Harwich to Denmark overnight. It wasn't posh and there weren't any entertainments as such, just bars and food outlets.

I wouldn't like a cruise lasting longer than say two nights tops. Would you enjoy a long cruise?
tanstaafl
17-05-2016
Mrs T and I have done some cruises in the past and quite enjoyed them. But it's purely, utterly and completely a matter of taste. I know people who would have to be shanghaied to be found on a cruise ship.

Now, camping, on the other hand. Only if the whole of London were destroyed (as per disaster films) would I reluctantly live under canvas. Do any of you enjoy camping?
PS And forget about any more specialised forms of camping.

I would love to go camping
I have sort of gone camping in Oz In our VW Camper van -
We Left for about a month from our workplace
@ St John's College in Camperdown Sydney and visited Melbourne Canberra & Adelaide - I was a great experience - It was a surprise for Mum who we invited over from NZ to join us for this holiday

Once when we were kids Mum left our Bungalow - in a mega mood -
'Cos Dad had kindly offered for his Sister and family [ 2 kids and her hubby ]
to spend the weekend with us
as they were coming up from Banbury to visit all the family in Liverpool
But Mum was incandescent and was NOT HAVING IT !!!!

So - We were bundled into her car in haste
We went to town and I used my pocket money and bought a small green tent
- and a camping lantern
For some reason we happened to have 2 hard scratchy beach towels and a bar of soap - and we as kids had no idea where we were being angrily driven to
We spent the 2 nights on the Dark Sheep filled Moors with hundreds of various crawly bugs n moths who all wanted to visit us in that small tent
>>>>> with that Night Lamp - somewhere - many miles - away from home

Mum could not stand being in the tent with our many crawling & big flying bugs
She quickly got out and stayed alone in the car - overnight - with the doors locked
She was also frightened by all the eerie sounds of a bunch of unknown animals
all coming & breathing and walking - just the other side of the thin green canvas
making crunchy scrunchy grass sounds around this novelty lamp lit and shadowy newly arrived tent -
and ........... that bar of soap never ever created a lather - in the nearby stream of ice cold water
The next night we stayed in a B&B
At the time I don't recall if we knew why we had been whisked away - and we knew not to dare ask why

Many years later when I'd returned to the UK - I was staying with her in Southport and she showed me many old photos and then I saw Photos of their stay
- as I happened to recognise them sitting on * the walled area in our back garden*
My Aunty had no idea of **what else took place that weekend**
- as Dad had just said we had to be somewhere else on that particular weekend

Have you ever been camping in a dark eerie wilderness ??
silentNate
17-05-2016
Yeah. Me and a mate went camping around the Lake District. One night we set up camp and were woken by an angry janitor as apparently we had camped in the grounds of some girls school!!

Will you miss the recipes on the BBC website??
ChoccyCarole
17-05-2016
Yes I will

Will you and your wife ??
silentNate
17-05-2016
Nah, I doubt my wife every used it

Nigel Fromage is already talking about a second referendum if it's close... do you think the election result will be close??
twassington
17-05-2016
Hard to tell.....a lot of folks have yet to make up their minds it seems. But if very close I guess there ought to be a second vote. Or should it simply be most votes wins even if less than 100 votes in it?
