I envy no one. I like my life. I've been extremely lucky to have a few holibobs after a few years of not having any. I'm always off somewhere or other, mostly stay with friends but the odd hotel overnighter creeps in.....having one in Southend later this summer, after yet another music gig Tiny little hotel we found last year when we saw the Levs and Dreadzone in the Pavilion there. Great place although not grand in the least.

Would you rather have small, homely and cosy or large and grand?

Homely & cosy. Stayed in someone's country pad once and it was very cold

Do you have wealthy friends??

95% no and the other 5% better off than average without being stinking rich. Most of my close pals haven't a bean.

Have you ever helped friends out with a loan in the past?

When you think of pretzels do you think of the fact that they nearly killed George W Bush??

Yes - thanks to the wonders of Google and Wikipedia.

Have you ever seen - or thought you had seen - a crime being committed?

I saw a man get bodily picked up and thrown into moving traffic once in Wood Green, North London. Miraculously he rolled between the cars and was unhurt. The culprits ran off but they basically attempted GBH at the very least and had he been killed, murder!!

I quit going shopping there after that, despite the bargains to be had. Are there any places you now avoid going to?

I'm not sure. I was vaguely aware of some sort of ban.

Were you aware that you really, really shouldn't be smoking whilst you are machining Teflon?

No. Get a small piece of Teflon caught in the hot coal of a cigarette and you will produce a poisonous fluorine-containing compound, I forget what exactly.

For smokers. Have you ever had the experience when attempting to remove a cigarette that it sticks to your lips, fingers slide along cigarette to the hot end; much screaming ensues.

twass - Tanning techniques can be used to make Teflon clothes in a similar way to the way they tan leather

I'm an occasional hermit, living alone and remote, interspersed by periods of manic socialising Best of both worlds.

You shouldn't be so popular! Are the women of DS begging for favours? FGS don't tell Mrs S
