4 days 7 years ago I think

Do you ever feel peeps are off living amazing lives compared to your own??
twassington
19-05-2016
I envy no one. I like my life. I've been extremely lucky to have a few holibobs after a few years of not having any. I'm always off somewhere or other, mostly stay with friends but the odd hotel overnighter creeps in.....having one in Southend later this summer, after yet another music gig Tiny little hotel we found last year when we saw the Levs and Dreadzone in the Pavilion there. Great place although not grand in the least.

Would you rather have small, homely and cosy or large and grand?
silentNate
19-05-2016
Homely & cosy. Stayed in someone's country pad once and it was very cold

Do you have wealthy friends??
twassington
19-05-2016
95% no and the other 5% better off than average without being stinking rich. Most of my close pals haven't a bean.

Have you ever helped friends out with a loan in the past?
tanstaafl
19-05-2016
Mrs T and I have helped out family on occasion.

Did you ever collect Green Shield stamps (or rival) stamps?
silentNate
19-05-2016
Yeah, used to have to collect an awful lot of Co-Op stamps to get anything though

Ever collect Smurfs??
twassington
19-05-2016
Yes, weren't they free with petrol? Did you also collect those rather naff glasses and cups and saucers with petrol back in the day?
silentNate
19-05-2016
Nope!

Should Male Only golf clubs still be allowed??
twassington
19-05-2016
No they fecking shouldn't!! Back in the 80s I got banned from ex Mr Twass's golf club owing to it having a Men's Bar, which apparently I wasn't allowed into. Suited me, I didn't want to go there anyway!! He was mortified. Tough shit

Ever had chocolate pretzels?
silentNate
19-05-2016
Oh, yes! Salt & chocolate go so well

When you think of pretzels do you think of the fact that they nearly killed George W Bush??
tanstaafl
19-05-2016
Strangely enough, no.

Speaking of pretzels, do you know what a Möbius strip is?
EStaffs90
19-05-2016
Yes - thanks to the wonders of Google and Wikipedia.

Have you ever seen - or thought you had seen - a crime being committed?
twassington
19-05-2016
I saw a man get bodily picked up and thrown into moving traffic once in Wood Green, North London. Miraculously he rolled between the cars and was unhurt. The culprits ran off but they basically attempted GBH at the very least and had he been killed, murder!!

I quit going shopping there after that, despite the bargains to be had. Are there any places you now avoid going to?
silentNate
19-05-2016
Nope, only avoid the places I can't afford

Is there anything more annoying than Kriss Akabusi??
twassington
19-05-2016
Infestations of ants are more annoying but only marginally

Which politician is the most annoying?
silentNate
19-05-2016
Bowwis fo' sure! Comparing the EU to 'Hitler's dream' was kinda obvious and I could have bet he would make some such comment : yawn:

Most annoying pop star??
twassington
19-05-2016
Michael Jackson. Talented but oh so annoying.

Lambs or kids??
silentNate
19-05-2016
Lambs (rum)

So, menthol cigarettes and packs of 10 are effectively banned.. is this fair??
twassington
20-05-2016
Really?? I didn't know that. MInd you, whole packs only have 19 in now don't they??

My dad used to smoke Consulate. Why are they banned?
tanstaafl
20-05-2016
I'm not sure. I was vaguely aware of some sort of ban.

Were you aware that you really, really shouldn't be smoking whilst you are machining Teflon?
silentNate
20-05-2016
To discourage younger smokers

Last think you watched on yootube??
twassington
20-05-2016
Erm.......a video of the Runaway Train. Eug would be able to explain

Is "machining Teflon" a euphemism for something............outrageous??
tanstaafl
20-05-2016
No. Get a small piece of Teflon caught in the hot coal of a cigarette and you will produce a poisonous fluorine-containing compound, I forget what exactly.

For smokers. Have you ever had the experience when attempting to remove a cigarette that it sticks to your lips, fingers slide along cigarette to the hot end; much screaming ensues.
silentNate
20-05-2016
Sadly so

twass - Tanning techniques can be used to make Teflon clothes in a similar way to the way they tan leather

OMFG! My in-box is full again!!

Would life as a hermit suit you??
twassington
20-05-2016
I'm an occasional hermit, living alone and remote, interspersed by periods of manic socialising Best of both worlds.

You shouldn't be so popular! Are the women of DS begging for favours? FGS don't tell Mrs S
