I never want to see another crisp again

I think it's more likely to be the weird mixture of alcowol, little kip, the consumption of disgraceful amounts of crisps, biskwits and other tent noms and not much real food and having to lug all our stuff back to the car on my tod as my pal's hip is not up to it that's caught up with me.

My friend also had very bad indigestion while there. We ate and drank more or less same and I was OK. What's that about? She's 12 years my junior.

And also . . .
Chip sandwich.
Bread and butter sprinkled with sugar.
Piece of jelly straight from the packet.
All things I was once daft enough to think were culinary delights.

Anything you'd like to add to the list?

Yes please hoots!

Condensed milk spread on bread! I also begged for a square of jelly. And treacle on bread and butter, or golden syrup.

Why do kids have such a sweet tooth?

Dunno, pretty sure they managed with a lot less sweets in the 1950s.

Would you consider a 1950's diet??

I remember the programme going back in time with food. The 50s looked grim with the rationing at the start.....all the offal and cabbage

Wouldn't the 60s be tastier?

No we have had a very bright sunny day all day here
looks a bit dull right now though

If you had cause to have to try to survive in the deepest ocean
- would you panic totally
or manage to stay afloat ??

Well, if it's the Atlantic in winter I believe that you have about 20 minutes. So, not much you can do, I'd say.

Can you swim?

Probably just Bran Flakes. A step in the right direction for the start of the month!

Do you like it this light in the mornings in June?

Of course! It's vastly better than it being black as pitch until 8am as it is in winter months.....

Do you get a great deal of spam email?

I do get some, and it's a relief compared to spam food!

Talking of which, what will you be eating for dinner on Midsummer's Day?
