No, more like a biskwit that melts in your mouth into a sort of paste consistency. I think they're foul but I have several friends who love them.

I can still remember a sort of rock hard biscuit with a hole in the end which you threaded a ribbon through and pinned onto the child's clothes, which my mother would give me to teethe on. I think it was called a Bickie Peg. THAT wasn't going to melt any time soon

Can you remember things from when you were a baby?

No. My wife claims to remember stuff from before she was a toddler but that sounds weird to me

Watching the C4 'Immigrants Guide To Britain', very funny... have you seen it??

I haven't....is it a spoof?

I can remember lying in my pram, being in the pushchair, high chair and playing with bricks in front of the fire. I can also remember watching my mother hang out a whole line of my nappies...as I was an only child they had to be mine!! And I was out of them before I was 2.

OMG they still make Bickie Pegs!!!!
silentNate

Not a spoof but an obvious piss-take!!

My first memory is falling out of a high-chair; my babysitter gave me a Mars Bar as apparently I wouldn't stop wailing

Do you like your food salty??

I don't add salt to food these days. But obviously I like salt being a Marmite lover. I've found food tastes better without too much salt added, but I do like black pepper.

A friend of mine doctored her child's bottle with Phenergan Kipped all night. Worked like a charm I expect that's full of alkowols......ever taken it?

Promethazine?? Yeah. Don't recommend it!

It's apparently non-addictive but as a neuroleptic I'd steer clear

Ever drink cough syrup for kicks??
twassington

No, only to get rid of coffs! Can you get high on it?
silentNate

I have got a couple out in the sun room

glad we only had hot sunshine late this afternoon and not all day long

Time to put the lamp on now - @9-48pm

I use a small * Home easy * silvery remote control
to turn the lamp and the TV on >>>>>>>> and off

Do you >> ??
twassington
08-06-2016
No, mine are all the old fashioned sort, I have to get up and click them on and off

How many remotes do you have? I only have the TV remote, and one for the doovde player.

Before youngest grandson arrives - four. After youngest grandson arrives - none.

Have you ever successfully used one of those so-called generic remotes that are supposed to replace your lost remote?
ChoccyCarole

No

You made me laugh out loud there tanstaafl - re
Before youngest grandson arrives - four.
After youngest grandson arrives - none.

I have got 3 tv remotes and this small home easy one that you programme to activate
up to 6 electrical products
I really only use 2 remotes each day

I have done a few chores today in the kitchen
Sorted one cupboard containing various plates and mugs
then threw out some old bottles of unwanted spices etc
and at about 6pm it was very sunny and hot while I swept the hard core chippings all along my back garden path

what chores did you get to do today ??
twassington
08-06-2016
I've never owned a do it all remote.

Chores: Gardening, shopping, cleaned bathroom and loo, did washing, cooked and washed up

Do you have a drink before bed, or try to avoid drinking before bed?
ChoccyCarole
08-06-2016
recently I don't drink too much ..... right before bed
which means less waking up during the night

You sure got a lot done today !!!!!! Twassy

Do you ever feel a bit drowsy in the afternoon ---- on these hot days
and when you are sitting down you feel like you could - or do - nod off ??

I like a hot drink before bed, usually about an hour beforehand.

Do you like a coffee when you wake up?
silentNate
08-06-2016
I wish... never enough time to brew a proper coffee

Previous - I'm always have a wee nip before bed

You??
ChoccyCarole
08-06-2016
edit >> No wee nips for me Nate
I used to always !!!!!!!!!!! drink coffee - first thing and all day long - -

but for a long time now I find Coffee does not agree with me anymore
as I suddenly began feeling unsettled after drinking it
like it made too much adrenalin and .I would also feel ..... ..... nauseous

I do have a mug of white Punjana tea when I get up
what brand of tea and coffee do you tend to buy most often ??
if you don't buy those - what brand of drinks do you choose ??
silentNate
08-06-2016
Kenco Rip OffoooIOoo or whatever it's called

Edit -----------------> kenco millicano

Used to buy pure ground coffee for my peculator... ever bought that??
twassington
09-06-2016
Yes, I used to....but like Carole I don't drink coffee every day. I only have it as a treat when out, when a proper coffee is on offer these days. I no longer keep any instant. Yorkshire tea and numerous 'erbal teas is the way I roll. I love coffee but I am far less wired these days without it.

Coffee cake or coffee ice cream?
hooter
09-06-2016
None...just had brekkie.......

Or is that brunch?
silentNate
09-06-2016

twassington
