I'd like to think so. Not hosted one in years now though, not a proper one. Just impromptu suppers!

There is always the point in the festival where we all sit around drunk outside the tents and one friend gets the eggs out. We play catch the egg. And no, they are not hard boiled The yolk was on him this time quite literally

Are your reflexes good for catching things?
tanstaafl
14-06-2016
As I was useless at cricket the answer is obviously, not very good.

When you catch a particularly bad cold whom do you automatically blame?
twassington
14-06-2016
Public transport. Full of sneezers

Are you still as tall as you were aged 25?
tanstaafl
14-06-2016
I think so, but it's not something I spend hours each day thinking about.

Have you ever filled a dead man's shoes?
twassington
14-06-2016
Not that I can recall.....

What did you fill them with?
tanstaafl
14-06-2016
Well, traditionally they're filled by the feet of the person waiting for their superior to pop their clogs, but I must admit that I've never been in that position either.

Have you ever felt a desire to, oh say, defenestrate your boss?
twassington
14-06-2016
Oh dear me yes. My bosses all should have avoided tall buildings They weren't safe at all!

Have you ever put Tippex in your boss's tea on purpose?
tanstaafl
14-06-2016
Well, that's a new one to me in methods of revenge. I'm not sure if 'Elf & Safety would really approve of the toluene in Tippex but who am I to interfere with revenge carried out in the heat of the moment.

Do you remember carbon paper?
ChoccyCarole
14-06-2016
Yes I do recall carbon paper
& No to the tippex

In a restaurant - Have you ever needed to have food sent back to the kitchen
for example - if the food was a bit cold or underdone ??
and since then :-
have you become aware that some chef's will do something vile to the food before it is returned to you ??
tanstaafl
14-06-2016
Yes, I well remember trying to explain to a waitress that the 3 closed mussels on the plate could well end up with me being in A&E.
And yes, re the the chefs etc. Slaves in ante bellum America were alleged to spit in the soup and George Orwell in "Down and Out in London and Paris" describes French waiters picking up the chicken that had fallen on the floor, dusting it down and taking it into the dining room.

Do you refuse to eat anything that has had a trip floorwards?
silentNate
14-06-2016
Nah, I follow the 3 second rule

Did you know that around 10% of the Icelandic population went to France to see their team in Euro 2016??
hooter
15-06-2016
No..dunno how I managed without that particular bit of info

Have yer feet feet started to become webbed yet?
twassington
15-06-2016
No but I have started quacking on occasion

Did manage to mow the lawn yesterday and now my body feels about 93

In my defence it's a BIG lawn on a BIG slope ......

Would you rather have a green lush garden that's a little boggy or a dried up husk and blazing sun?
hooter
15-06-2016
Dried up husk wiv plenty of sun

Black threatening clouds here...shall I hang me washing out?
twassington
15-06-2016
Only if you are poised like a coiled spring to get it back in again

Luckily I got mine dry yesterday afternoon in a bright and breezy few hours. Although there is sun forecast for today, there is also a LOT of rain

FInding it hard to believe it is nearly MIdsummer's day ??
hooter
15-06-2016
I know......can,t quite believe that half of 2016 is almost gorn......

Shall I answer the phone?
tanstaafl
15-06-2016
Yes! Someone is almost certainly about to make you a fantastic financial offer.

Are you part of the mobile only-no house phone generation?
twassington
15-06-2016
No. I never answer it if I can avoid it. If it's that urgent they will call again or contact you another way.

I have a sixth sense when it is my son, DIL or mini twass. The eldest knows to email or text

How much milk do you get through a day?
ChoccyCarole
15-06-2016
I use **Dried Milk ** - The low fat semi skimmed milk powder -
Most days I would have about 8 slightly heaped tsps
Each time I make my mugs of tea - I use 1 rounded tsp of powdered milk

If calories were not in the mix - I could drink 4 or more pints of Full fat milk every day
like I always used to do in Sydney -
and ate like a horse and @ 5' 6" - I always weighed in @ 9 stones

how about you ??
hooter
15-06-2016
Full fat is better for you than the low fat.....but I ain't watching calories ,just sugar and carbs

Out for a coffee shortly........cake or summary more boring?
twassington
15-06-2016
Cake all the way hoots! Treat yourself.

I love milk, but not full fat....it tastes a bit claggy. Semi skimmed is the beverage of choice. If cals were no issue I would likely down several pints a day as well *sigh*

I don't like milk powder at all though.....very weird stuff!!!

If a friend suggests doing your make up for you and you are like, seriously no thanks [she wears far too much herself] is that rude?
ChoccyCarole
15-06-2016
No it is not rude to say no thanks

I only wear
lippy
some kohl eyeliner pencil
dab of eyeshadow just along the eyelash line
a tiny dab of concealer on a noticeable freckle just between my nose and my lips
and some lovely perfume -

How about you ?
tanstaafl
15-06-2016
Soap and water.

Are children still threatened with having their mouth washed out with soap and water?
ChoccyCarole
15-06-2016
I have not heard anyone saying that these days

Have you planned any special days out - for this coming summer ??
twassington
15-06-2016
More than I dare to confess I am practically nomadic! Off again tomorrow evening to go to mini twass' flat for a couple of nights, she and I are doing stuff on the Friday and then off to a gig on the Saturday night [cover band so cheaps] with two friends. Back Sunday in time for the solstice

I wear a bit of tinted moisturiser on both cheeks [too rosy], lip coloured lippy which then doesn't get applied again until the following day and is eaten off within an hour, a little green/grey kohl on the eyes and rarely, mascara. Usually none. Give me a few more years and even that little bit of slap will go down the swannee

Is there thunder where you are?
