No, but morning sunshine has turned into steady afternoon rain.

Do you find it particularly depressing being driven indoors by the rain just when you have settled down in the garden.

Definitely
Years ago I would get all ready to soak in the sunshine
then as soon as I lay on the grass in the right direction etc etc etc
with everything I needed - close to hand
then within moments ------ along came the huge clouds out of nowhere
and the chilly unbearable weather
and no evidence that the sun would come back any time soon
& shivering and searching the skies for a glimmer of sunshine was futile

Been overcast here all day and just now it looks like we may get a bit of rain soon

Do you sort of shop >>>>> for one or two days at a time
or do you mostly stock up on food etc pretty much to last for a full week ??

For a couple of days at a time.

Now bright sun here but windy...a gust slammed my front door shut and now the mechanism won't turn, can't open it from outside or in! Luckily the back door was open as it always is when I am home. Thought about taking the handle off, but as I rent, I guess I had better wait til the Landlord comes to have a look. I can get in and out the back way, but it slammed one of my cotton eco shopping bags in the door which I'd hung on the handle ready to go back in the car!

Ever been locked out? Once when Mrs Teapot came to stay we got locked out just as night was falling...which where I live means TOTAL DARKNESS....and we had to totter down the hill by the light of our phones to the Landlord's farmhouse for a spare set of keys!!!

Luckily I have not been locked out
But ....... Not too long ago I got home and my front door key was missing from my keyring

I was shocked that it had come off and thought of all the places I may have lost it earlier that day
I searched the floor of the car and thought of all the places I had been that day with plans to return to each place ASAP
I then went over the road to get the spare key that I left with my neighbour at least 10 years ago

The Door key is also sentimental
Later that evening I had another rummage in the car and
YAY - I found the house key stuck deep down in between the front car seats near the hand brake
goodness knows how it came off and ended up down there -
Luckily it was not lost forever - on some long walk in the long grass etc

I have been doing a sort out in the utility shelving which is actually a tall Ikea Billy style wooden bookcase in the kitchen today

Have you done many chores today ??
twassington

Today I have....ironed two tops that have been sat there for ages too creased to wear, been shopping, got tomorrow's cheap train tickets out of the machine at the station, cut all the lawn edges with shears and strimmed the drive and front lawn areas. And the cat work of course. I fit that around the important jobs of gardening etc

Landlady has been, agrees the mechanism is bust on the front door...so I will use the back door for the time being. Their record for fixing stuff isn't good ..... I will have to shout to callers out of the front windows!!

I will make an asparagus frittata for dinner later...what do you have planned for dinner?
hooter

Search the hidden recesses of your fridge hoots. There's bound to be a jar in there somewheres!

Do you like spicy hot cheeses such as Red hot Dutch - or Mexicana ??
twassington
15-06-2016

According to Google, a Snozzcumber is a fictional foodstuff in The BFG.

hooter

twassington
15-06-2016
Not free, the popcorn is a tenner a very small box and you'd need a second mortgage for the ice cream

Do you smuggle noms into the cinema?
silentNate
15-06-2016
Of course

twass - Shockingly I prefer the Johnny Depp / Burton version

I used to be a bit of a Burton fanboy so perhaps that is less than surprising

How horrible is Cheery Coke??
twassington
15-06-2016
Did you mean CHERRY coke?
tanstaafl
15-06-2016
Could actually be a reference to the original Coke which did contain cocaine.

Do you study the list of ingredients on the side of packaged food and drink?
twassington

Sadly

Irn Bru or Cherry Coke??
Multimedia81
15-06-2016
Irn Bru

Do you prefer iron or steel?
tanstaafl
15-06-2016
Iron is iron is iron. Plain and boring. Steel is endlessly variable: mild steel, austenitic stainless steel, weathering steel, cutlery steel, high strength steel, maraging steel etc, etc, etc. So it's gotta be steel.

What are your views on copper?
