Yes. It kept extremely vaguely reminding me of The Turn of the Screw.

Is it possible to reach the end of a sentence in Henry James without forgetting what the beginning was?

Portrait of the Artist, Ulysses, The Dubliners. James Joyce used words like paint, a true artist

When did you wake up this morning? 6.20 for me!

I think I woke @ 3-45am and could't get back to sleep -
been watching tv since then
I have been up since about 4-15am
and feel a little bit drowsy right now

Have already had 2 breakfasts
4-30am I had :-
1 full Papaya with 1 large navel orange & a mug of tea

Then @ about 9-20am I had
1 tiger bread bun
with a sizzled duck egg / s&p
2 cherry tomatoes
1/4 of a gem lettuce
& 2" of sliced cucumber with a mug of Assam tea

What did you have for your breakfast ?

Well, they obviously need to do another tour to fill the coffers.

It hasn't rained here, although it is blowing a flipping hooley. My watering cans are at the far end of the garden The washing came up a treat though, towels are about double the thickness they were

I am hoping to fix the broken hanging basket iron thing to the wall with some rawl plugs I got in B&M. It fell off onto my bonce quite unexpectedly yesterday while I was watering it. This may involve climbing on stuff. You would think I'd learned my lesson from last week regards that wouldn't you?

God no, life will never be so tedious that tennis seems a good idea

Should I haul ass to the post office 2 miles distant [and I've only just got back in] or leave the important cat letter til tomorrow?

Do I detect an influx of Americanisms into this thread? And, out of interest, how is it possible for important, cat and letter to appear in the same sentence?

Re the hanging basket problem, do you own a high power electric drill?

I lived in North London from 1979- February 2013. Don't miss it!

I work for Cats Protection, tans I don't own a drill or even many tools. There are holes in the wall already.....I've done a botch job because clearly the rawl plugs weren't the right ones. Plus I put the darn thing up upside down

Still hung the basket off it. It's wobbly and there's high winds. Watch this space

Is optimisim always the best approach?

Can you believe that on Friday, we'll be closer to 1/1/17 than that of 1/1/16?

That is a scary thought....life goes at the speed of an express train!! The days just scoot past at a ridiculous rate....

Do you find that?
