silentNate
02-07-2016
Against Portugal, who have only won one game and see themselves in the Semi-Final?? Damn, I think they could do it

Did you know that within ten years, dead musicians will generate more revenue than live ones??
Gregg-Pieman9
02-07-2016
I do

Do you think Roland Rat is real, just like Kevin the Gerbil
silentNate
02-07-2016

Is wrestling fixed??
Gregg-Pieman9
02-07-2016
Yes

do you abide horrid sports like wrestling & boxing
silentNate
02-07-2016
I like boxing but share most medical practitioners fears about the dangers of the sport in both the short and long-term.

Favourite, none horrid, sport??

Football.

Have you ever had any broken bones?
silentNate
02-07-2016
Yeah, several in various parts of my hands & feet but nothing serious thankfully

Have you??
tanstaafl
02-07-2016
Only a fractured collar bone when I was a child.

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.
But with the current epidemic of internet bullying, words will definitely hurt you. Would you agree?
twassington
02-07-2016
Nah. They are still just words!!

Evening all....home from the latest gallivant!

Did you see Caroline Aherne died, aged 52?
tanstaafl
02-07-2016
Yes, and it was the main item on the BBC news, followed by an account of the mass killing in Bangladesh. Which probably says something about the warped priorities of the BBC or the British public or God knows who.

Do you have any interest in anything that happens outside this scepter'd isle?
twassington
02-07-2016
Of course. And while her death certainly deserved a mention, it shouldn't have been the main news

Also the director of The Wicker Man has died. How many more famous folk will croak in 2016??
silentNate
02-07-2016
Seventeen according to my crystal ball : rolleyes:

Just reading about Caroline Aherne, very sad

Is being questioned by the FBI a good look on a presidential candidate??
twassington
02-07-2016
I'd say not! Is Hillary toast? And does that mean we're doomed to have Shredded wheat hair man instead?
hooter
02-07-2016
probably

Is it raining where you is?
twassington
02-07-2016
Not currently but I feel sure it will before long Hopefully not before my son mows the lawn tomorrow morning!

hooter

silentNate
03-07-2016
Only on the chips

Do you ever have tartare sauce??
twassington
03-07-2016
Only in restaurants, not in chippies.....I never put any vinegar on mine. Or salt! But then I am weird. I will put black pepper and lemon juice on

What are your Sunday plans?
tanstaafl
03-07-2016
1. Rest

2. Lunch

3. Lengthy period of thinking of reasons not to do gardening.

4. Metaphorically beaten over the head by garden and do legal minimum amount of gardening.

5. Collapse exhausted and rest.

6. Dinner.

7. Go for daily walk.

8. Collapse even more exhausted and check TV schedules. I believe that there's some program about some obscure Chinese empress that looks interesting.

Can you supply a good reason not to start gardening?
EStaffs90
03-07-2016
Back ache. (Even if you don't have one.)

Do you get your telly through Freeview, or do you pay a monthly fee for it?
twassington
03-07-2016
Er....it came with Freeview built in and I'd never pay any more than the license fee to watch the tellybox. There's hardly ever anything decent on to watch and it's a life sucker!!

As for gardening, son rocked up with the dogs this morning and mowed the main area of the lawn, since which time I have strimmed the drive and front lawn bits, pruned the roses, trimmed the hedge, chopped back weeds by the woodshed, trimmed the edges of lawn round borders and watered my plant babies! The jungle still wants strimming and the edges of the main border....tomorrow will do for that.

Have succeeded without doing a back injury....hoorah! I've hoovered and done a load of laundry as well

Have you had enough of my boasting now?
tanstaafl
03-07-2016
What are your gardening and laundry rates? Can you supply references from trustworthy persons such as Boris Johnson & Michael Gove?

Did you know that once upon a time irons weren't plugged into the mains?
