No luckily. You cheeky ****er Nate I had to iron the cotton hankerchiefs as a kid for one of my chores and I can assure you it was an electric iron I did it with. Standing on a bucket so I could reach the ironing board. Children were slaves in the 60s and 70s

You couldn't afford me, tans

What's for dinner? I have leftover spag bol.

dunno....still thinking about it.....might be a cheese sarnie

Agree with you twass.........remember doing all my mother`s housework at about 10 ...and that continued till I started work, and I had to tidy up, polish and clean if I wanted friends or a boyfriend round. Blooming slavery...me grandkids hardly lift a flipping finger at home.

cheese sarnie or sardines on toast?

Sardines on toast but I would put cheese over the sardines and then grill them so it melts. Cos I is greedy.

My granddaughters do ZILCH at home. By their ages I was washing up, ironing, dusting, sweeping, hoovering and polishing the lino This was not in exchange for treats. It was what all children had to do back then.

However I was aware that boys seemed to do less. Especially in the way of housework.

How much work do you reckon the men of the thread did as kids and young peeps?

Probably quite a lot. I started work at 13 and haven't looked back. Been unemployed for less than three months and dread the thought!

When will you retire??

I may get too sick to work but I can't imagine being able to afford to retire.

The first part of that sentence scares me for exactly that reason

Did you watch France dismantle Iceland??

I've visited the place, and seen rock bands in the venue but not attended the footy bit.

Ever played crazy golf with two other DSers?

I have played crazy golf, but that was long before DS crawled out of the primaeval soup.

Do parks still have public tennis courts, or has that particular luxury long since departed?

I think they do, tans....I don't have any parks nearby to check, it's all woods and fields round where I live so no need for a park. I think the park by Canterbury Westgate still has tennis courts......

Which is best for tennis, grass or a hard court?

It seems not What a grim world it seems at times. People are a virus. We need to be exterminated, then Gaia would heal herself and be in balance.

Great tweet!!

Which of the hapless Tory candidates do you reckon will win?

No That's shocking. He was a good bloke. Rather similar to Jeremy C.

So which Tory will win?
