"Gone! And never called me mother!"

Are you never/occasionally/frequently melodramatic?

We can only hope so

Lost internets and phone line for a couple of hours.....and being rural no mobile phone signal. It was quite liberating. Do you like being entirely cut off from the world?

Yes. I barely use mine other than the occasional text. Horrible things I think I would do better than most if cut off entirely from other peeps with no phone or internet. I'd be so laid back I'd be horizontal

Bracing myself for old school pal and husband to visit next week. They are as unlike me as it's possible to get, but they are over from France for a wedding so I am returning their hospitality of last year. Must not mention politics, religion, Brexit......

How will I keep me gob shut??

Yes, I've heard of them. I try to impress the grandchildren by standing with my back to the sun, setting the garden hose to a fine spray and producing a rainbow. Unfortunately, whilst impressed by the rainbow, they aren't really interested in my explanation of the physics. You'd think that a three year old would be more interested in science.

Do you know why the sky is blue?

Yeah, my wife explains it really well

I never bothered with science in school which became a problem when entering the medical profession

Did you like science at school??

No I didn't enjoy Physics and Biology. Complex forumluas and cutting up dead rats.

Yes, and my mother left empty yogurt pots on the doorstep for the milkman to put over the pintas to stop the birds pecking holes in the foil and nicking it!

We lived on a small estate on the edge of town and mum put the milkman's money in cash in another empty yogurt pot on the step overnight. It was never stolen. Were folk more trustworthy back then?

Not made it, but eaten it often. Whenever mini twass comes I gets in a Lidl bakery rye loaf which is lush and she can eat that whereas a wheat loaf she gets symptoms being intolerant. She can have Spelt as well no problems.

I used to make a nice multigrain loaf but now as there's only me I tend to buy it.

Still feeling the effects of over indulgence in the cornbread though

Coffee time??

As I've just finished dinner, the answer is yes. In fact I've just finished drinking it.

Do you use one of the many time-consuming ways of making coffee, not to mention the clearing up afterwards, or do you just spoon the instant into the cup and add the hot water?
