Once Upon A Time In The West......brilliant film absolute classic and the film score is fantastic

Fabulous morning, slightly less fabulous afternoon but no rain.

Oh yes, I love that one too!

I've had the woodworm treatment last year, it stunk for days and days after Made a right mess everywhere too as all the paint had to be sanded off the wood and the dust got everywhere

Mind you, I much prefer an old house to a new build. So much more character...agreed?

Aye......it blooming stinks though..the cats are disgusted and have slipped off out to their ,"yurt' in the garden. It even stinks out there though.

When cats became middle class.....

Why do cats think we want half dead birds as presents????
twassington
08-08-2016
Because that's what THEY would like for a present!!

My neighbour hasn't come home like he usually does, been gone since around 9am......I am worried about the cat! Should I be more worried about him??
hooter
08-08-2016
Dunno.......think you need to feed the cat

Never thought me cats were trendy........reckon I could rent me ' yurt' out?

Cats not having much ready cash I don't think you'd get rich from it hoots......

I don't have the key to go in, but landlady has.....if no sign of him by the morning I will call her to see if I can borrow their key to go in and sort him out. If I put food out in the garden, hedgehogs or foxes will just eat it. It's an old cat and rarely comes into my garden, stays in his.

Cocoa time?

You could try the generally accepted spelling, 'gnashers'. I mean if Gnasher is good enough for Dennis the Menace . . .

Does Dennis the Menace still exist?

Predictive Text is a demon from the seventh level of hell hoots. It comes to drive us insane with its sly changes to what we thought we were writing!! You need to banish it entirely

Twaddle? We always converse in a most educated and refined manner don't we??
hooter
09-08-2016
I prefers my spelling

Twaddle is spoken in only the most refined circles ain't it?
hooter

It is, it's called small talk. Only the most refined personages are capable of it

I see you slept well hoots Mind you I woke just after 2 and again at 5

Will we be dropping off by the early afternoon?
hooter
09-08-2016
Yus...cors like you I was awake during the night... cats wanted a small smatterings and outage....

Still stinks...

Why do we have blooming woodworm?
twassington
09-08-2016
I guess beause the wood in houses is tasty and the horrible little critturs like making a mess. I first found mine when I saw the little heaps of wood dust on the carpet Upon inspection I could see all the little holes in the wood So I reported it to the Landlady and it was a good seven months before they sent a bloke to sort it.

It might be in the timbers of the roof by now

*waves to Nate*

Do you think he is waving back?
hooter
09-08-2016
Yus..

Or maybe he's relieved cors he don't have to think of any questions to ask for a few days

Is rain forecast?
twassington
09-08-2016
Not in these here parts. In fact, they were wittering on about a heatwave coming for early next week This is not good news for my garden when watering it is a major problem right now due to lack of mobility! If only I had an outside tap, but it's back and forth from the kitchen via a flight of stone steps with two watering cans each time.......

Do you ever reach for your tea having forgotten you drank it all already and are very disappointed??
hooter
09-08-2016
Yus...

ICANT YOOU FIT A HOSEPIPE CONNECTOR ONTO YER KITCHEN TAPS?

Don't ask why that is all in upper case
twassington
09-08-2016
I tried that the first year I moved in, but owing to the antiquity of the taps, I couldn't find a hose adaptor to fit them!! They're all designed for the modern smaller tap.

I could try doing a rain dance. Would folks thank me?
hooter
09-08-2016
No

oh twass....is it veg or flowers?

Wonder if you could find an adaptor on eBay or ole hardware shop?
twassington
09-08-2016
I'll have to keep looking.....flowers and fruit, the wabbits ate all my veg It's a losing battle here. There are thousands of the beggars! Saw a mahoosive one sat in the lane yesterday having a sunbathe. Gave me a bit of a look and sloped off into the hedgerow as if to say, nothing worth noshing in your garden Mrs

Fortunately the smallholding by the woods has plenty of veg to spare and sells them very cheap. Got a big bag of French beans for 20p the other day, and over a kilo of tomatoes for 60p, really good ones

Their apples will soon be ready.....the cookers are gorgeous! My apple tree has a lot of fruit but all of it is small. Do you have fruit trees?
hooter
09-08-2016
I has A very ancient Bramley, and a few other varieties..one of ems a Heinz 57 cors me daughter grew it from a pip. It has a lot of fruit but none worth eating...the birds dine on the windfalls most of the winter.: I also has soft fruit but don't seem no good a growing strawberries

Wots the secret to growing good strawberries?
