I'm not that keen on them...the granddaughters used to eat them....but they've moved on to tastier snacks these days!

Do you own a tree pruning tool? I wants one!

Depends what you mean by a tree pruning tool. I've got a saw with a curved blade and fairly coarse teeth that is designed for cutting through moderately thick branches. It could be, and has been, used for pruning.

How are the tomatoes growing this year? Mine don't seem to be too successful.

I have a pair of secateurs at work, our tomatoes never took off I'm afraid

Do you own a cassette player??
twassington
14-08-2016
I used to way back in the day, not any longer though.....I have an iPod and dock

I didn't bother with tomatoes this year, even though it's one plant the wabbits leave alone. Mine got blight last year and I decided to save the time and effort. The peeps with the smallholding by the woods keep me in home grown tomatoes this time of year with very little expense

Any plans for the day? Mini twass will go back to London later this morning, after which I will visit Lidl and potter about the garden. I can do that without a walking stick now, yay!

Off to Greenwich I think I can do very little without a walking stick

What's for lunch??
twassington
14-08-2016
Boiled eggs, toast soldiers and two plums

We're all crocks!! To be fair, any distance walking and I still needs the stick. And I am taking quite hardcore painkillers

Have decided to stay in now mini t is on her way back to the smoke, and do the laundry since it's a fine and hot day here.

What was your lunch?

Haven't had it yet.

Do you stay up later on Friday or Saturday nights?
silentNate
14-08-2016
I work weekends so it depends on what shift I'm on

twass - Not eaten yet Will probably have leftover mac & cheese from last night

Last time you had mac & cheese??
twassington
14-08-2016
About six weeks ago...only it was tuna mac and cheese. Does that count?
tanstaafl
14-08-2016
Why not. I'm sure the examiner won't deduct any marks.

You did, of course, ensure that the tuna, macaroni and cheese all came from sustainable sources?
silentNate
14-08-2016
You'd better wait for twass to answer that

How long is a long lie-in??
tanstaafl
14-08-2016
I'd say 10 hours.

Have you ever counted sheep, or anything else come to that? And did it work?
silentNate
14-08-2016
No. I have used hypnosis tapes though, have you??
hooter
14-08-2016

Seems okay so far

Have you seen the superior 1960 version??
twassington
14-08-2016
That's the only one I've seen and a real classic. I'd be afraid the modern version would be a pale imitiation thereof......

Your dinner sounds lush as well, hoots!

Do your culinary creations usually revolve around whatever wants using?
silentNate
