Not drinking tonight, but I am tomorrow night. My birthday this Sunday, so a few mates are coming round and we're off to watch a Metallica tribute band.

Any plans for this weekend?

Off very shortly to do our CP Xmas fair from 9 til 2, will need to leave in an hour to get there in time....then on return will be taking mini twass to local Matalan for new pyjamas shoppings before slumping into a state of torpor and knackeration.

DANG I forgot your birfday eug I should remember you are a week before my son.

Are brains more and more like sieves as you get older?

Mine definitely is so I will say yes.

Nate - E&C I'm guessing is Elephant and Castle, I Iived down the road from there just behind Guy's Hospital. And .. the chippie I worked in, in my yoof, was opposite Waterloo Station under the bridge, it's still there today but all modernised now.

My younger days were West London and Brixton and North London in my 30s for a bit. Do you prefer city life to quite suburbs ??
silentNate

Yes, I prefer city life to quiet suburbs

I'm not aware of a chippie near Waterloo bridge, is it near the Sainsbury's Local or the cycle shop??

Last time you had proper fish and chips out of the wrapper??

Wednesday but it was saveloy chips and pickled onion.

Nate - This is the chip shop. I haven't been back there since the 90s so I don't know what shops are local. I just did a random search a few months back to see if it was still there, and if it was, had the name been changed and was surprised it has remained the same.

Do you have a fav chip shop local to you ??

The Seahorse in East Ham is delicious but the West Ham Fish Bar is closer

The US elected Ronald Reagan... is it possible they will elect Donald Trump??
cazziekay
21-11-2015
Sadly it is possible. I think Reagan did the Senator/Governor route first whereas Trump is just a reality business man with a very bad syrup.

Do you think he's America's Nigel Farage without the pint glass ??
silentNate
21-11-2015
Worse than Nigel... I'm surprised he isn't being filmed with glass in hand in order to ingratiate himself with blue collar voters tbh

Favourite modern politician??

Jeremy Corbyn ftw!!

Well, I sold a lot of cake, but there's some left over.....*hands round lemon drizzle cupcakes and coffee and walnut cupcakes*

I did a decent thing. I'm quite pround of meself. On the tombola I won a tin of Wallace & Gromit biskwits and an elderly lady nearby said "Oh dear, I was really hoping to win those" so I gave them to her. She was that chuffed!

What's the last good deed you did?

Jeremy Corbyn. I just feel like he speaks to me.

If you could have any singer become Prime Minister, based on their lyrics, who would you pick?

Ed Sheeran

Who was the 1st party you ever voted for when you hit legal voting age

I refused to vote for a few elections as I felt cheated by Tony Blair.

I only started voting when the BNP started running in my area and I felt I had to make stand against them, so I went with the Lib Dems.

What would your first law be if you became PM?

Get rid of the Royal Family.

How about you?

Buy Eug a Lifetime Gateshead Season ticket

and put politicians on minimum wage.

What would you call your own political party if you ran one?
silentNate
21-11-2015
IMJ - International Marmite Jihad!

Would enforcing the eating of Marmite once a day be tyrannical??
twassington
21-11-2015
I guess it would if you hated it I'd join your political party......THERE IS NO GOD BUT MARMITE!!!!

We are on the Lidl Xmas choccies....dark chocolate covered sour cherries currently. Ever tried those? LUSH!
silentNate

Ever suffer from heartburn??
twassington
21-11-2015
Nope, not a problem I have. I see there's a new medicine for 24 hour relief from it, being advertised on TV currently.

In time for the season of overindulgence, perhaps?

I hope not... every winter I try to avoid putting on weight. Every winter I fail

A spokesman for Prodiss, the music industry producers group, said: "The attacks sent a shock wave that has hit our audiences hard."

The group is carrying out a full audit to see how many concerts have been cancelled, but fear the cost of extra security measures might lead to more shows being pulled.

"Producers are extremely worried about the future. They work on quite a narrow (profit) margin," the spokesman said, adding the Christmas period was crucial for the industry.

French Culture Minister Fleur Pellerin has promised a emergency fund of four million euros (£2.8m) to help get live entertainment up and running again and help with the cost of new security measures.

But Prodniss said double that was needed.

"We have to rebuild the public's confidence, make them feel happy and relaxed about going out to concerts again," it said.”

When the likes of U2 cancel gigs do the terrorists win??

21-11-2015
They won't stop me seeing Fields of the Neph at the O2. *** em I say

Frankly the world's a better place without U2 gigs

Have you see the mashup of Uptown Funk with the old Hollywood greatest dancers?
