Yes - have them each side of me and a row of houses almost facing me
One next door neighbour is joined to here - behind my chimney breast
the other side - the neighbour is not attached to this place - but at an angle - her front door faces my porch door

I am Watching Strictly come dancing on catch up tv from last weekend - [ The 1 hr 50 mins episode ]

Have you ever done any ballroom type dancing ??

[ I have on about 7 evenings - The first evening I had never done it before BUT it was really a VERY wonderful experience with a brilliant experienced dancing partner - it was amazing and he was so good - that he made me dance like I had experience and had danced many times before - ]

Jacket Potatoes.

I've started a diet this week. It's so hard and then I hardly take anything off, so I get disheartened. Are you good at loosing weight?

It's windy but by taking Fybogel every morning it fills you up and less need for snacking. Worth a go??

Do you really take that Nate ?
It can't be good for you, just another money spinning fad doing the rounds. The diet named the atkins is actually a healthy balanced diet that I was raised on before all the pasta etc carb rubbish was shoved down our throats as healthy. Not to mention all the takeaways that again didn't exist in my youth.

Protein and healthy carbs ie meat and two veg is what we grew up on and is all that is needed for a healthy lifestyle along with a bit of fresh air and a brisk walk. Ha ha now I know I sound old

Do you think fat/sugar tax is fair or alternately just make healthy food cheaper and stop finding ways to fleece the poor ??

The Atkins diet is not healthy; all that protein without carbohydrate!! You know Atkins died of a heart attack, right??

Do you like Adele??

Yes, I think she is very good and talented.

Most of these fad diets are not really good for you. I remember there was a grapefruit diet once. The best way is to cut down on what you eat and no chocolate, sweets, cakes and puddings etc. Says me, who finds it hard to loose weight no matter what I do.

I'm just off to have a bath, do you prefer and bath or a shower?

Radox for me.

Nate - yep I know he died of a heart attack but that doesn't mean it was caused by the diet .. ironically die being in that word.

People misinterpret the Atkins, it isn't all protein and no carbs. It is very low carbs for the first two weeks then add more as the weeks progress, but as Fibro says they are all fad diets it really is just common sense.

Do you think internet banking is safe or does the hacking make you nervous ??

There is no metropolitan life around me, thank goodness. I am entirely in touch with the green, which is what all people need So glad to be back in my little cottage!! Surrounded by owls and birds and autumnal mists.......Turkey was lovely but it was a bubble of unreality.

Finally got rid of the jet lag/dehydration/hangover with coffee and Shreddies.....we missed any dinner last night but now starting the unpacking which we abandoned at 2am on the living room floor and just went to bed in our clothes

Is your own bed the bestest?

Nah, I prefer hotel beds. Can't beat a bit of naughtiness on a hotel bed

Good to see you back twass, I hope you will be looking after the garden and going out to see people rather than spending time on t'internets

Ever worn contact lenses??

Worn them since I was sixteen! Brilliant invention

I know what you mean re the hotel beds, so clean and pristine.....you just want to mess 'em up

Nice try with your thread winning attempts Nathaniel.....however, the cold season is upon us which means twass sits indoors with the lappy a deal more than toiling in the garden. Although having said that it's a blooming wilderness out there again And much cat stuff is going down in November as well, busy busy.......

Been taken out for brunch by mini twass, who I have now parked on the train. When did you last have a fried brekky in a cafe?

Not particularly, which is odd considering I have been used to temps in the mid to high 20s.....but I have been busy unpacking, doing loads of laundry, cleaning etc.

Bakewell tart or treacle tart?

Well...................I may have played up certain attributes while failing to mention a few less than great things.......without actually LYING as such. Sort of sins of omission. And exaggeration

Haven't you done similarly? I've had to go through so many application forms in my time, trust me 90% of them are full of ......... half truths!

Yes, so I've read in news reports....glad we flew out yesterday before the clocks went back...or not....there! It would have been most confusing

Should I have a tin of cream of asparagus or cream of tomato soup with me toast?
