So long as it's a very decent wine, I wouldn't mind if it was a more mid range price tbh. After all it sort of represents the restaurant so it should be a good 'un. And the nicer the wine, the bigger the price usually.....

Local vets have raised about £400 for the Cats doing a marathon.....will a thank you card be sufficient? We will of course all trot along for the cheque presentation which is in a few weeks, press present etc. Dogs Trust also getting £400 odd.

A thank you card, personal phone call and photo opportunity for the Cats Protection magazine and local papers should all be arranged forthwith. Do I have to plan your whole day for you?!

Would you run a marathon for £400??

No, I would want much more than that!

All that stuff's organised already....suggestions of getting them a few bottles of wine were raised but I personally think that's not a good use of charity moneys!! Agreed?

My whole working life revolved around phones. I detest them.

Jacket spuds, coated with olive oil and salt or cooked naked?

Oil and salt every time...and ovened, not microwaved.

How do you cook yours?

Stone age, after fire is invented and the day is spent hunting for food.

Do you watch tea time TV. 4pm-6pm?

The American people will have a trick whichever way they vote. Neither option is a treat Although Trumpkin would be the most rotten trick I think.

Will you carve a Jack O lantern?

No but like the idea, local kids will get coins for charity if they call.

Without googling, would the word Krampus mean anything to you?

Of course it would. I know my Germanic folklore

Krampus or Odin One Eye? The Allfather is a more likely Santa than St Nick

He's the demon who deals with the naughty kids while Santa treats the good ones I feel sure his legend goes back a very long way.

Which one will you be expecting?

The mixed fruits count as 2 of your 5 a day.

Will it get worse before it gets better?
