Latish, but then I don't have to get up early now.

My list of unbearably smug people so far contains:
(1) Ex-smokers (I know, I'm one myself).
(2) Late risers howing a lack of sympathy with those forced out of bed at cock crow.
Can you add to the list?

Yes. People who drink decaffeinated tea and coffee, Turning vegetarian and vegan, on diets, stopped smoking ( like myself) and stopped drinking.

Would you stop anything purely for health reasons or to keep up with the fashion?

All the time! Last weekend I got a nice autumn coloured jumper and mini twass has nicked it I suppose it was only £2.50

We're now hoping for a nice film to slummock in front of for the late afternoon and evening slot. Do you enjoy watching films on wintery days?

Once upon a time relaxing was the only thing you could do on Sundays. You youngsters don't know what terminal boredom was like!

Are you a Sunday shopper? I'm not.

Quite enough. Shops opened at 9 and shut at five when I was a kid. DIfficult for those who worked full time. How did folks manage back then?

They have a half-day on Thursdays round our way, I always forget

I remember the pubs opening at 11:00 and closing at 13:00 for some bizarre reasons! Curry houses did good trade in the meantime

Ever seen an unhappy wife come into the pub with her husbands dinner in hand??

Not recently, nate the nearest pub is about half a mile away from the houses.
Corner shops much nearer.

Do you often go to your corner shop?

I did when I lived in North London and had one at the end of the road, now the nearest shop is miles off in the next village....

We had pea and leek soup and camembert and avocado on toast! Would you eat that or think it was a weird dinner?

That depends on many factors. It's not kitten season but we still do get litters in December...the storm kittens of 2014 were rescued from an old sofa in a garden on Xmas Eve after a whopping storm. Also, domestic issues happen quite often at Xmas meaning cats have to be taken in. And cats will still get lost, or need neutering etc.

Locusts or grasshoppers?
