Prolly silent....we"ve got roadworks going on outside the house with temporary traffic lights...tis like Blackpool illuminations day and night..and blooming noisy too..
. so that might have summat to do with it........I just wish the young neighbour that took on 5 cats would show some responsibility for them and I could sleep at night again..![]() Marmite afor the butter or after? |

After, please hoots. I like it to sit on top of a thick slab of Lurpak and I lets the toast get cold first so the butter remains intact

He's an accident waiting to happen ![]() Ever had cake made with sweet potato? In a cafe today, mini me bought us each a coffee and a piece of cake, hers was dark chocolate made with sweet potato, and mine was plain with Christmas spices with sweet potato. Both lush, both very moist, and quite delish

Never had sweet potato cake, twass, have had carrot cake and I know some people use beetroot in chocolate cakes. Went off sweet potatoes and butternut squash after eating too much of them boiled (Yuk) roasted (quite good) and made into chips, but th boiled ones put me off altogether

Yes, they are very nice done that way, the only way I have had them boiled is with ordinary spuds in a mash. Which was very nice too!
Another good mash is root mash with swede and potato combined. What's your favourite sort of mash? |

Just potato mash with, chopped spring onions, butter and milk (champ), twass
![]() also had swede and potato, quite nice. Did you know sweet potato is supposed to be low calorie? |

Unless you're Belgian and, for some strange reason, insist on mayonnaise, the only things that should be applied to fish & chips are salt and vinegar.
